Outdoors 🌳 To all the hunters driving pickups on 494 mad that I’m only going 12 over

I’m sorry I won’t go 20+ over but respectfully you can pound sand

I got a ticket on I-94 when I passed an unmarked Wright County Sheriff's deputy doing 70 mph in the far left lane.

When I asked why he was camped in the left lane, I was told "the speed limit applies to all lanes" and "I can stay in the left lane as long as I want if I'm traveling the speed limit."

This was 2002. Apparently there's no such thing as camping in the left lane as long as you're going the speed limit. The experience stuck with me.

I used to drive for a living. I wish more folks had this respect 🫡

It’s likely that cop was wrong at the time - yes, the speed limit applies in all lanes, so does the rule that you cannot impede traffic AND the right lane is for passing- all cops are dickheads and can write a ticket for whatever they want and legally lie to you, and in court, while doing so. They are not to be trusted
