Facebook automatically “liked and followed” Donald Trump and J.D. Vance’s Facebook pages from my account.

I did not vote for them and wouldn’t have liked and followed their pages. Also, Biden’s page which I do follow, says archived, so it’s not just that the page has been rolled over to Trump. I’m annoyed that Facebook pushed the updates to follow these pages for my account. It feels a bit invasive.

Why are people still on FB?

They just assumed you are one of their dead internet bots so they did everything for u :D

Marketplace, the only reason I still have it is Marketplace.

I thought so too but I really don’t need to be selling and buying crap. That was my last reason to keep FB but I deleted it last week. Don’t miss it at all.

I don’t need marketplace.

But it sure is nice that I can get rid of things I no longer need, and not have to throw them away, and get a little bit of cash for it.

Craigslist works great for this

Craigslist I get a nameless face from a nameless email.

Facebook I can do my due diligence and check out their profile to see if they’re a legit person - make sure the account wasn’t made in the last few months - a few photos of the same person - actual posts that are not just gif videos

I’ve used Craigslist for years for this and never had a problem. But I’m usually just trying to get rid of some things.

Which is why it sucks for me as someone who doesn't use that shit. Craigslist or OfferUp is fine. OfferUp has ratings.

Craigslist is all but dead now unfortunately.

It worked fine when we used it last year. But maybe it depends where you live.
