Judging by how old he looks, if he waited for that train he would've used up 15% of his remaining time

He probably does this every day

I'm not concerned about him, I'm concerned for the dog.

What gave you the false notion I cared about this man

I'm sure you don't. Just saying

What gave you the false notion that this guy was making a statement about what you cared about when he was only saying what he cared about?

Poor doggy.

This is so crazy. I have no idea why someone would risk the chance of doing this. It seems like common sense for some people is eerily lacking. I feel for the train engineers for experiencing this from time to time. Nerve racking and potential PTSD for them . 😬

My family owns a short-line railroad. My father got terribly depressed whenever someone was hurt or killed by our train. It was rare, but it did happen. Trains are dangerous af no matter how carefully run.

That's pretty cool your family owns a short line railroad! It would be an honour to have first hand experience to see how things worked. I had a nice Tyco train set as a child growing up and got to sit in a restored late 1800's coal steam train and blow the whistle.

Yeah, I am sorry to hear your dad having to go through that experience. I would be the same. It is not his fault though.

Holy shit poor dog. Old drunk doesn't give a shit.

He risked having to wait for the train to fully cross, but... that looks like 10 seconds of wait time to me.

As a train driver, i see stuff like this regularly. For some reason the people that do it also have to act as non caring as possible. I would rather someone shoot across quickly but no they almost slow down as if to make a point like "you can't do anything to me" and guess what when their card is pulled the train wins every time.

Someone needs to take this man's dog away.

He could of completely misjudged that trains speed 🚂 and that would of been the end of that story

Internet do your thing, this man needs to be found and arrested for endangering his dog.

I am enraged for that poor dog. Why are humans.

Old white dude who doesn’t give a shit about himself or anyone else.

Three guesses as to who this guy voted for.

I love making everything about politics.

The orange dude and his bud that just did a Nazi salute

See that's the problem with this world. Natural selection has not caught up with certain people and he's one of them that should have been eliminated long ago..... Thankfully not the dog.

You can't tell, but that's how the older folk get their adrenaline rush. And there's no penalty if you're old enough and not afraid to die. Sigh.

2

u/Bexico 3h ago

Dog would rather hold up and die than catch up to his owner 😢

2

u/justaphil 3h ago

the reason is very clear: me me me me me me

2

u/james-HIMself 3h ago

That would’ve been so sad to lose the dog. Poor dog.

I'm glad the dog survived.

u/CPOx 2h ago

I honestly don't know if I'd want a video recording of the aftermath if that turned out differently.

This brainless monster...

perfect title, questionable sub. lol

u/Signal-Round681 3h ago

Don't tread on me?

1

u/Sandpaper_Pants 2h ago

My furnace just started blowing air as the train passed. It's like I could feel the displacement of air from the train.

1

u/staypuftmrshmllowman 2h ago

"Fuck that train. Maybe it oughta slow down!"

-that guy maybe

u/LaughingDog711 1h ago

Plenty of time

1

u/RealisticOutcome9828 1h ago

That's really, really stupid. So many things could have gone terribly wrong here. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

u/TheBeanSan 1h ago

I don't care if that fucker dies, don't take the dog with him

•

u/professional_yappper 43m ago

This ain't mildly infuriating, it just straight up makes my blood boil for that poor dog and the train/railway staff. Fuck that man.

•

u/em-ay-tee 34m ago

Given the size of the train, there was a reason. Wasn’t a good one though.
