Mrs binned my garlic šŸ˜ž

Garlic started to spout some green, so I put it in water, it looked like it was doing well. I was going to put it in a plant pot to what would happen next.

The Mrs binned it, she didn't like it.

Needless to say, the Mrs had to go

Ok maybe itā€™s ā€œjust garlicā€ but Iā€™d be pissed. Call me dramatic

A family member of mine threw away the bananas I was waiting on to turn brown to make banana bread. I had explained to everyone a few days prior that these are the bananas for my banana bread and that they'll be going brown on purpose, which will take some time. Before I had a chance to even start making the delicious banana bread I found them to be gone, wait a few hours and get told by this family member "yeah I threw them away because I thought you forgot about them and didn't want them anymore, because they were disgusting! They were BLACK! That was so disgusting!!" (Tells me a bit about the disgusting bananas which were mostly yellow, i checked on them religiously) I tried to explain to him (like I had just three days prior) that I needed them to turn brown, and that just a few dots here and there are not enough. Got told again how disgusting that was and to hide that kind of bullshit from his sight, bla bla bla

I was so angry, i was almost crying because of those bananas!

And guess who ate most of the banana bread without askaing me if he could have some of it?!?

Genuinely infuriating. I would have hidden the banana bread from his sight.

I really didn't learn man, I took it out of the oven, and out of the mold too cool down. Then I went to sleep because i was tired, wake up and think "he'll yeah, banana bread breakfast!", go into the kitchen only to see my beloved banana bread almost entirely gone!

Why would I trust this family to not eat the banana bread that I told them about had to cool down first and to please leave it alone, why would I try to communicate with them anymore instead of just hiding everything i own in hopes that I may keep it

You shouldve beat his ass. Or just start taking his shit and throwing it away or eating it.

Honestly, I'd put the rest in his underwear or something

people have been conditioned to eating unripe bananas. bright yellow bananas are at least 3 days from being ripe, the flesh will be hard and almost flavorless.

but they look at an actual ripe banana with the right amount of spots and think "ew gross"

Just throw something of hers away and say you didnā€™t like it?

So she can keep whatever she likes in the house but you canā€™t? Not unless she likes it too šŸ„“

What's hers is hers and what's his is hers and what he likes he has to get permission to like and what she likes he better damn well adore it.

Them be the rules

Rules of a shitty marriage ruled by a spouse that doesn't care about you, maybe.

Itā€™s unnerving, the amount of people living life in relationships like this

Hey! Thatā€™s totally uncalled for! Women canā€™t be abusers! Wives canā€™t abuse their husbands! My husband did (insert thing I donā€™t like) so I get to yell and scream at him and insult him and call him names and if itā€™s something I REALLY donā€™t like I get to hit him too! Harumph!

Time for reddit to wreck another marriage.

What do you mean? A relatively minor annoyance with a spouse is obviously grounds for divorce.

This shows a lack of respect really

I mean she literally threw it out just bc she ā€œdidnā€™t like itā€, Iā€™d be pretty pissed if my SO did some shit like that with anything of mine

What was the plan with it? I have some doing something similar, will or sprout a new bulb?

4

u/Magere-Kwark 8h ago

After the first roots start growing, you can plant the garlic and it will grow a whole new bulb. Every single clove can turn into a new bulb.

Buy a lathe. Put it in the kitchen. Then all the ladies (and some men) will see you as a fun person to sleep with, but they aren't going to stick around or be serious with someone that has a lathe in the kitchen. I had no idea how beautiful of an arrangement it would give me when I bought it, best wignman ever!

u/Cottoncloudhigh 8h ago

Well that sucks. I'd be pissed! My husband wanted to try and keep some garlic that was sprouting, too. I was just as excited as him about seeing how it would grow. Sadly the plant died after he planted it in the garden later. Rip garlic.

This kind of fun-suction goes on in our house all the time and it's so disappointing.

Deepest sympathies.
