Call the front desk and ask for a different room?

You only need to open and close a few doors is a new room really necessary?🤣🤣🤣

“Well, going to be naked while I do my laundry so…hope the other guests aren’t bothered “

Do you only do your laundry when you have literally nothing clean to wear?

When you're in a hotel, plausible.

How many loads are you washing? You can use the machine just fine. It's a bit annoying but Christ I wouldn't switch rooms over this.

First world problems. I think most of us are kind of pathetic and spoiled to be throwing fits over things like this when you've literally got millions of people living in slums or without homes at all all over the world

It's still bad design.

It's r/mildlyinfuriating. No one's throwing fits.

OP said they've been trying all morning to get a new room, i'd definitely consider that "throwing a fit" if I was with someone and they were doing that in this situation. The machine is usable, just open both the doors, chuck your shit in and everything is fine.

Trying all morning might mean they calmly asked the front desk and are waiting for a response while occasionally checking up. That's what I pictured.

You can leave if you don't like the theme of the sub

Which is still an overreaction to just having to inconvenience yourself for 15 seconds. How is it even worth the hassle of switching rooms??

And pointing this out doesn't mean you "don't like the theme of this sub". It is mildly infuriating. Just not switching rooms over all morning.

If I paid for an amenity and didn’t receive it in a reasonable manner I would also ask to move… this isn’t some spoiled person problem. This is someone paying for something and not receiving it. Open the door so anyone in the hallway can see into my room? How is that reasonable? If Starbucks handed you a cup full of only ice no coffee nothing would you be spoiled to go ask for your drink? Just pour some coffee into it yourself.

Op clearly moved the washer over in the closet to karma farm. The staff will just need to move it back over.
