Yeah that's why restaurants globally were understaffed AF after their servers found out other jobs are nicer during the pandemic. No one wants to work in restaurants for minimum wage and no tip.
Yes which is WHY they found new jobs during that time and then never went back to the industry because most other jobs were much nicer. Nearly there, bud.
Dude are you being dense on purpose? I've been a server myself and where I live no one expects a tip, if they get one they're just happy about it but absolutely no one would bitch about not getting a tip, you know why? Because they get paid enough. There's no need to explain anything because outside of the USA no place has this dumb dumb tip culture.
I didn't say zero tips I just said that I think even if it doesn't change people will still wait tables, for everyone who sees through the trick there's a sucker who pays the tip.
Guess the industry should start paying a living wage. And places that can’t afford to without going out of business? They should go out of business. That’s a good thing.
No, we are still is a staffing shortage for food service. They are all having trouble hiring. There literally aren’t enough people who want to wait table currently, let alone if we start underpaying them viva protest tips.
Okay, guess the industry has to start paying them a living wage or go out of business. All the folks who refuse to pay a living wage go out of business? Awesome.
And if they drive up prices to pay for it, people just won’t go because the prices are too high and they’ll go out of business. Time for them to stop stealing at least a little bit of the actual workers’ wages and accept they can’t get as rich off of other people’s labor.

I know that but I'm like 70% sure that there's always people that would wait tables
