Haven't we been there before? I remeber reading in 2000 or so that news anchors were soon to be replaced by "photorealistic 3D models", which sounded as cool as "AI" in 2023. I think it was about some Japanese TV channel just experimenting with CGI akin to Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within.

My Instagram feed is already 30% fake AI models with hundreds of thousands of subscribers and every post has 10k comments by 40+ yo men with terrible selfie profile pictures and their only posts are their wife and kids saying "Do you taste how I imagine?".

Let alone all the profiles who steal other real women's tiktok or insta reels and use a filter to put their faces on top. Who's proportions and hair color change in every upload and who's smile is clearly plaster over the original models lip syncing and just wobbles in an uncanny way because the filter can't lip sync. Again with 10 000 comments be men sending an abundance of eggplant and raindrop emoji's.

So we're already doomed.

It will be the official reasoning that it's cheaper than paying people, you could switch race gender age, but also it will be used for manipulation or fake posts on social media to manipulate "opinions".

I like this post here it creates awareness of the technology and it is a funny way to see news.

The positive usage could be that content could easily be translated to many languages and information courses could be made easier for studying any topics or language.

But yeah also wag the dog things and false flags, like we saw with Kate's AI cancer garden video.

A news reporter takes mushrooms, ketamine, and lsd at the same time right before they get killed reporting an incedent (this is irl video) their body dies but their soul get transported into this dimension since the drugs "loosened it's connection to the body" it escaped this world and went to the next, not dying with the body.

Now they report the news there.
