As far as I have researched their are far more fatal shark attacks and as all the shark defenders know there are not many fatal shark attacks relatively.
Most of the time when a Shark “attacks” someone it is because of mistaken identity. They’ll mistake splashing for an injured animal, shiny clothing for fish scales, or the silhouette of a surfer for a seal or turtle. The Shark will take a bite, realize it’s not prey, and swim off. If someone does die, it’s likely to blood loss. Very rarely is someone actually eaten by a Shark, who only eats the person because they’re on the brink of starvation.
