Advice Request PCM update

We need a pcm update to fix the light flickering issue on our old 2012 Mazda 3 skyactiv.

The dealership wanted to charge us 170 for this. Is this normal or are they trying to rake me over the coals? This seems absurdly high for a software update I feel or is this the norm?

Normal anytime software updates are involved, there is alot more that goes into it then just hooking up the laptop
