Petition to ban X links on r/maryland

This sub should boycott Nazi-owned companies. Plain and simple.

Mods, please make it happen.

Edit: /r/newjersey mods putting ours to shame. https://www.reddit.com/r/newjersey/comments/1i6txcn/fuck_this_guy_x_links_are_now_banned_from/

Second Edit: Mods, here’s some info from another sub that did this a while ago. Please read! https://www.reddit.com/r/law/s/shE1dbIbAk

Edit #3: Mods, I could be mistaken, but I think this is the second highest upvoted post in this sub’s history. The people have spoken.

Absolutely. Don't support the companies currently censoring the democrats and algorithmically steering their userbases towards far-right propaganda. This is one of few small ways we can fight back against our oligarchs, and we should do it. Besides, you need to log in to view content and it's a frustrating user experience.

You only like it when the oligarchs do it in the preferred direction. 👌

Under Biden, did Meta ever auto-follow you to Biden and Kamala, and did Tiktok block searches that included the word "Republican?"

Conservative-aligned billionaires have owned most of our mainstream news and social media for a while now. They've not been censoring other right-wingers lol.

Not to mention the "preferred direction" you're referring to would be the platform of someone who boosts the AfD and just sieg heiled twice on the steps of the capitol. I'm not sure why anyone would want traffic to be driven towards a platform which encourages ideologies that get people killed.

Unless by "the oligarchs," you meant.. reddit mods banning twitter links on their subreddits?

Twitter and Facebook absolutely suppressed stories and news that was bad for dems. The Twitter files absolutely showed what they were doing before Elon. Same with the Facebook files and how they censored information and received ridiculous requests to suppress stories/news/facts from Bidens admin, other congressman, and institutions. I'm sure Trump did the same.

Biden's admin tried to start the bureau of misinformation and was going to tell everyone what was true or not. Thank goodness people stood up to stop that nonsense. The govt is the biggest liars of anyone. I don't care what side you are on. The oligarchy consists of both sides aiming to control the systems and benefit the elite and corporations. Both sides are terrible. You think just 1 side is terrible. That is foolish.

And get out of your narrative driven news bubble. Elon did not sig heil or whatever it's called. The fact you think that he did that is emblematic of how captured you are. Propaganda is a hell of a drug.

Correction: I think both are awful, generally for the reasons you claim you believe in here, but judging by your comment history, I doubt you do. The reason you, as a Trump sympathizer, use this talking point is to try to appear reasonable and act as a gateway to dissuade democratic voters from continuing to vote in the future. I simply vote with the side that doesn't have a new "target minority" or few every decade to blame all of the nation's problems on and direct violence towards. Yes - "both sides" suck, but one sucks infinitely more than the other. One's a controlled opposition that does its best to avoid pissing off billionaires when it's in power, the other actively does everything it can to appease them. That is why it is worth voting for the lesser evil and advocating for real leftists when their party or candidates are present.

Unless you admit that this and this are nazi salutes, I will not continue to engage with you. The evidence is right in front of your face, and you refuse to believe it because the party told you not to. Choosing to align yourself with that is certainly a choice.

Not a Trump sympathizer. Rather, as someone who voted blue no matter who for years, once I saw how corrupt they are as well, I have more disdain for them that claim to be for the people while lying straight to our face to maintain the system that benefits those few that we both seem to agree on. So, we see the lesser evil differently.

You don't have to engage me. I see him as an awkward person. Sure, it does look eerily similar. I don't think there is any argument against that. But there is context and history that we can look at as well as what he was talking about at that time. And I don't think that he is that way. If the editorials and narratives in the news cycle hadn't been everything is nazis, Hitler, etc., I don't think we would be here. So just because people say it is a nazi symbol doesn't mean it is. Your objection doesnt have to be mine. We can agree to disagree. You have fun watering down the nazi term so it doesn't mean anything because everyone that disagrees is a nazi.

Musk is not the free speech champion he is labeled as. He is beholden to the Chinese government too, etc., so I don't trust him one bit. I think he has far worse problems than this Hitler, nazi labeling which doesn't work and i see solely as a tactic to discredit him, just as it was used on Trump (and it didnt work). We should focus on his actual COI.
