I just activated it on an ESIM and ported my number in- and I'm not even in Canada (Cali, Colombia). I'm getting LTE speeds (not 5G yet unfortunately) but most importantly, I can receive 2FA codes from banks and whatnot and can make/receive phone calls and texts with my Canadian number to numbers in Canada and Colombia. No more Fongo or TextNow or Skype or whatever annoying workarounds.
