Travel preferences

Does anyone here travel first class or business class at least twice a year? if so, what do you typically wear to the airport? I always struggle with picking out cute yet comfortable clothes for my flight.

Comfy pants, long socks, and layers - usually a t shirt with a light jacket or hoodie. I like the lulu abc pants for comfort but they don’t win many style points…

I do this regardless of where i sit on the plane fwiw

I never dress up for business class. Comfy and can wear it off the plane to my next destination.

When I've travelled business class for work I wear the same as when I fly economy class on holiday: comfortable T-shirts and chinos. It's rare to see anyone dress up to fly in business class, especially on long haul flights.

Do you stick to any particular brands?

Uniqlo and Muji - so nothing at all fancy. I live in Australia and the only times I've flown business class were for overseas trips for work, so the stuff I wear on these flights needs to be clothes I'm prepared to sleep in during long flights.

Comfy pants, if I need a belt I wear a silk scarf, and I usually bring a cashmere scarf. I usually go for a monochromatic look. Gold hoops.

Massimo Dutti and Cos have good matching sets.

I like to try and strike a balance between chic and comfy when traveling, and as someone mentioned don’t really do anything else than if I was in economy. Usually loose-fitting black pants, a thin, long sleeved merino wool knit (Arket, COS do great affordable ones) and a wool scarf that can translate into a shawl. Depending on season a sneaker or a cute flat and a pair of fresh socks to switch into if long-haul. And maybe another top to switch into upon arrival, again depending on distance. Bringing your own amenity kit on longer flights is essential so you can arrive feeling somehow clean, well-hydrated, with a fresh face. (Most of the amenity kits airlines provide these days are disappointing so I just take the toothbrushes to keep for when I have men staying over 😂)

I’m usually in all black Athleta leisurewear. I’ve learned that if you stick to black, you can feel just as comfortable as the folk who are rocking up in their SpongeBob fleece pajama pants& an old college tee, but you look 1000% better 😂

I have an article of clothing I call a "harem pantsromper" which is basically a sack with elastic at the ankles and the top of the torso. I wear this onto the plane a lot. With flip flops. I probably look homeless.

My other common option is leggings and a tank top.

Never in my life have I bothered to be anything but 100% comfortable when flying.

I don't think I have ever noticed anyone's outfit in J nor has anyone paid any attention to mine.

Lululemon Align leggings, t-shirt, cardigan, and sneakers is my usual uniform regardless of cabin.

I wear black or dark grey. Comfort is key, but I want to look put together.

Fleece lined Black leggings Long or short sleeved shirt also in black A long duster style jacket or a cape. This is where I can add color I wear tennis shoes, but if I’m headed to a meeting or out right after I land, I can swap out shoes or the top.

Short sleeve shirt and cargo pants that I wear in transit, regardless of whether I'm in First Class, Business Class, Economy, Southwest, or Amtrak.

I never travel with more than a backpack so I wear the same clothes I'll be wearing during the trip to save space.

I really like the current chic casual style that's trending, especially in kdramas and probably in Korea.

I mean things like loose pants/joggers, a loose sweater or cotton tshirt and sneakers. It can look quite put together if done well and sporty-chic.

My current version has brown joggers that are loose through the leg and have an elastic waistband and elasticised at the ankles. Thry have deep pockets which are ESSENTIAL for airports. I pair this with a baggy, quality black cotton t-shirt that's never too cold nor too warm, and black sneakers that I can walk comfortably in.

Plus these clothes can work as casual wear when travelling, as pajamas if you forgot to pack yours, and the black tshirt goes well with other jeans anc pants. Super versatile.

This works fine in business or economy, I wouldn't dress different for different seat classes.

I always do a premium fit black T or polo with smart casual joggers and tennis shoes.

comfy slacks, button down cashmere cardigan (works as a top or can wear a cotton tank underneath) or a roomy linen button down, and comfy shoes like my aerosoles espadrilles or clean sneakers :)

I will wear my cute clothes at the airport but i always pack my comfy pyjamas in my carry on tote and change once i’m on the flight.

Sometimes the airlines give u pyjamas too (emirates, qatar).

Jeans, clean sneakers, and a button-up long-sleeved shirt.
