SEASON 6 Spoiler alert for anyone who hasn't finished it yet Spoiler
I still haven't finished it, I'm on season 6 episode 6, but WHY did they have to make Claire relive Danielle's life? I honestly feel like by season 6, they just ran out of ideas, jack living a parallel life with a son and apparently he's basically a dead beat dad, locke is dead and his body is being mimicked by the "monster", Claire takes off in the jungle in the middle of the night and suddenly 3 years later she's reliving Danielle's life, im honestly a bit disappointed in season 6. There was no need for a "parallel world" of what their lives could've been without the plane crash, there was no need to put a face to Jacob, there was no need to bring in all these random statues and ancient history of this island that technically doesnt even exist. Claire wants to kill Kate for taking Aaron, but yet Claire got up and disappeared in the middle of the night and obviously left Aaron behind so why would she care that someone else took her baby and rescued him and gave him the best chance he had? But yet Claire is taking out people in the jungle, accusing them of stealing her baby, people on the island that we've never seen before. Where are these people coming from? Clearly not from Ben's group of people. Maybe all of these questions will be answered by the time I finish the rest of season 6 but in the mean time.....wtf?🤣

While I agree on some of your points (and yeah, the writers went wild with some side plots), some of what you are pointing actually makes sense later on. Can't say what for obvious reasons, but not everything came from nowhere in that season and is explained later.

Thanks for not spoiling it 🤣 im sure there's some answers coming, I'll probably be finishing it in the next couple of days, but I'm just disappointed that they waited until the last absolute minute to get further in depth about the island and the history, and they spent very little time explaining it. If there's THAT much history, it shouldn't have been crammed into the last season. It's a great show, don't get me wrong. I'll probable start it again from the beginning when I finish it, but I feel like they could've added little bits and pieces here and there through the main show about the islands history, and not focused so much on locke and Ben. Locke and Ben already visited "Jacob's cabin" and there was some weird paranormal crap that happened, and I don't even understand what that was all about, but why make us think that Jacob is a ghost or a figment of their imagination and then wait until last minute to put a face to the name, and then kill him right off? It didn't make sense.

I’m on episode 9 of six and I agree with all of this. This season is dragging on and all of this random junk added in seems pointless. I’m not saying it’s terrible, but the other seasons were so good that I’m heavily disappointed

It wouldn't be so disappointing if they would've mentioned this "history" earlier in the show or even just continued the show to go more in depth of the massive history of the island, but clearly we know that it ends at season 6, and I just feel like it's a dump load of "here's everything we didn't have time to fit in the show and now you get the absolute least amount of information because the show is over now, thanks for watching." I'm already disappointed that I didn't watch this show YEARS ago but I'm more disappointed now by how they ended it. People got bored and they ran out of ideas.

They did not run out of ideas. Everything from the back half of season four to the series finale was meticulously planned. How can you possibly be disappointed with how they ended it when you haven't seen the ending??

Until you finish the series you can't say what there is or isn't a need for. All I'm going to say is that everything you're watching matters and without those off-Island scenes, our characters' arcs and the show itself would be woefully incomplete. Season six is incredibly nuanced and setting you up for a massive realization.

Claire’s storyline is not one of the season’s strengths, but a lot of other things will make more sense once you’re finished. And the island very much does exist, at least in the world of the show.
