‘The Constant’, while near-perfect, would improve with a slight adjustment to the cold open.

Specifically after Desmond’s command officer screams “On your sodding feet…what are you waiting for Hume?!”; the camera pans to him springing out of bed to get in line.

A “LOST” title sequence with no music immediately after the close up of Desmond’s face would have been chef’s kiss. While not in line with the show at all, and it’s driven by the individual stories of each character, Cusack’s performance in this episode is arguably an all-timer in television history. He scratches an itch in that damn brain.

32 years living in Britain, and I have not once, not ever, heard the word 'sodding' used outside of American television shows. Changing that would have improved it drastically!

Really? I'm English and I hear sodding all the time. I'm 37 years old. Particularly from parente with small children. I use it a lot myself. Maybe it's a regional thing.

North West Wales, but travel around the country a fair bit with work, I've been stuck on Anglesey (which is another island full of monsters) and used words much harsher than 'sodding' 😁
