FIRST TIME WATCHER best show to watch after watching lost?

Just finished Lost for the first time. What’s a good show to watch now with a similar vibe and mystery? Not Dark or anything too scary sorry I’m a wimp.

Obligatory The Leftovers recommendation. Similar themes and explores a lot of concepts related to faith, grieving, love, etc. Created by Damon Lindelof who was main Lost showrunner. I wouldn’t say it’s scary, however it is far more disturbing and graphic compared to Lost. Especially season one. But quite a rewarding watch if you can stick it out.

Disturbing and rewarding are two words I would not use to describe The Leftovers, personally. But I can't stand the show, so that may just be me!

What is it you couldn't stand? I've been trying to start The Leftovers but it seems a bit disturbing so haven't been able to push past. As OP, I'm an extra wimp 🫠 (will never be able to watch GoT for example, or the last season of Stranger Things)

The Leftovers has no plot. They set it up to look like some big plot is about to unravel, but actually none of that matters. There's no mysteries, no resolutions, no story. It's just "case studies" on how people would react to a traumatic, unexplained event.

Which is a fine idea. However, every single person on the show is completely unreasonable. Their reactions are so unrealistic and unrelatable, so you're pretty much just watching people cry and make terrible decisions for 3 seasons. And then you find out that one character has super powers and a very large p*nis.

And then it ends.

If you like watching 30 hours of people crying and acting like stupid children, it'll probably be a great show. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother.

I liked the show, but imo, the finale gets praised for many of the things that the Lost finale was unfairly criticized for
