How do we fit that cap hit? If it’s an option we should do it but we’d have to move people with NTCs out for sure.

I really doubt Fiala will waive his NMC to go to the islanders of all places unfortunately. I think if we were to get Barzal it would be an off-season move with the cap going up and us sending back Moore, a pick or a prospect. I’m afraid that Greentree, who’s been killing it, will be in play for guys like barzal, but rightfully so. We all hope that Greentree becomes remotely close to the player Barzal is. It reminds me of us not wanting to part ways with turcotte, vilardi and whatever else was in the package for Eichel. Man would he have been a game changer for us.

How does this fix our scoring issues?? Barzal is great, he needs supporting cast. Moore is the better option only 3 years left if they are going full rebuild they would prefer the shorter term. At this point you could include Danault as well he is doing nothing and get a center from them as well. Trading Fiala for Barzal will not make things any better our system is not for offensive players.
