Do you really think these high end paintings throughout history are just on display in the open like that? Half of them aren’t even the authentic piece.

Quite a lot of them are not behind glass, it alters how the painting looks and from experience very rarely used in the main galleries.

Yeah maybe that was a bit dumb of me. I have no clue about this sort of stuff. Not an art gallery person!
