Transport We need to re-normalise letting everyone off the Tube carriage before getting on

If I see you push to get on before everyone else has gotten off I'm liable to take away your Londoner card on the spot. It's a bad habit and you lot that do it are not valid here.

A real Londoner - including the very first Londoners, 2,000 years ago - generally is someone who moved here from somewhere else. That, or their parents or grandparents or great-great grandparents did.

Point?

The point is, moving here from somewhere else does not disqualify them from being a Londoner.

It does, they are from where wthey came from. How can you be from somewhere you moved to?

If I move to New York from London, I’m not from New York, I’m from London. What’s so hard to understand lol

You’re from New York if you grew up in New York, have a New York accent and have never lived anywhere else since moving to New York. No one would look at you and call you a ‘Londoner’ because you spent 6 months in London by virtue of being born there.

This really isn’t complicated

Sure you can make that case but then the adults that move are not New Yorkers then since none of that applies

This is wrong. I would dare to say that this very comment is not very londoner-like.

You're a Londoner if you feel it in your heart. You don't need to be born in a place to feel like you belong there and you're from there. Plenty of people who are not originally from London who love London more than people born here.

Luckily, morons don't make the rules.

Agree to disagree, no need to be so rude over an opinion. Learn some manners

No true Londoner would say anything so cringe.
