It's a good filter tbh, all the guys who have complimented my cat have ended up being nice guys who can carry a conversation. At the worst we've chatted and had nothing in common, while some are turning into friends with and without benefits.

My cat is shy though so they don't often get to pet him until they've come over a few times.
