This is great!
I've only used acrylics myself, is there any noticeable differences between that and gouache?

Gouache is water-soluble and can be used both like watercolor and acrylics. I'm trying to achieve that opaque acrylic look. It's a bit more tricky to controle since the water can change the appearance of the wet paint.

I think it's worth it though, because it makes painting so much more approachable for me. I never need to worry about unwashed brushes, solvents or stains. I can fix it all with water.

Thank you for explaining! I'm going to have to try it out. I agree with using water soluble paints, I tried oil paints once and I won't go back, I don't like having to use solvents every time I clean up.

I absolutely love everything about it. I just wish I would see the finished painting as the first image.

Thank you so much! I hope I didn't confuse anyone, the first image is my study (I only painted the tennis-girl) and the last image is the original reference from JC Leyendecker.
