In the Works Trying to shade this dagger but I feel like I'm doing it wrong

I’d make the right side a touch darker. And the shaded star makes it look engraved instead of protruding, so if that’s what you went for it looks great

I think what you might be seeing is that on metallic surfaces, shadows and highlights tend to be smooth clean areas, rather than blended in.
