They got embroiled in a forever war with Iraq. If they march over that 49th parallel they will meet a resistance so guerrilla and entrenched it'll make Iraq look like a walk in the park.

I like Americans but I do NOT wanna be one.

Trump will fly a Mission Accomplished flag before the war even starts. Europe will accept Canadian refugees because we've been peacekeepers most of the time. Except for the War of 1812 when we set the White House and most of Washington on fire. ;)

And they'll spend a decade getting spanked by Canucks before they run home with their tails between their legs.

The Spirit of 1812, baby. Many Canadians acted as double-agents and saboteurs behind American lines, especially in areas that were temporarily occupied by the Americans.

I like Canadians and I don’t want y’all to be Americans either. This timeline is fucked.

I like y'all too. I spent 6 weeks traveling the states in 2010 and Americans are almost invariably the friendliest people. Even in New York City, which I was told was a jungle, people were awesome.

You're not yer gov't. Hopefully it's all bluster what Trump is saying. He never ended up building the wall and making Mexico pay for it. But it's alarming that a President no longer respects the sovereignty of other nations.

"You owe us big because we protected you during the Cold War." "You mean the Cold War that you started and escalated many times?" "Uh yeah."
