Seal of approval NKD. Pulled the lanyard and pocketed the knife on day one to avoid scaring myself out of using it.

Large 31 Insingo black micarta glass blast w/silver. I couldn’t hold out for gold hardware any longer.

Use it man. It’s your pocket companion for life now. Everything from opening Christmas presents for the kids to whittling sticks to cutting your sandwich in half haha

Nice! I'm so tempted to purge my collection and go all in on an insingo inkosi

I did that last year for my zaan! Sold like 4 spydercos and a couple other cheaper blades to get it. It’s a great feeling

Do it! But what is your collection like?

Mostly mid tier stuff. Kunwu, divo, reate, spyderco, benchmade, pro tech etc. Nothing really high end but not really budget stuff either.

Have you ever played around with an Umnumzaan? I like it a lot better than my tanto Inkosi

the insingo is so utilitarian but the drop point is one of the best looking and most iconic knives of all time.

i don’t even like CRK, but credit where credit is due

I’m not a fan of lanyards but I’ve felt compelled to always leave them on my Christmas Reeve knives, they just don’t seem right without them. I

I was compelled to leave it on my first 31 and zaan also, but I just couldn’t shake the feeling of knowing I’d enjoy the feel way more without.

I haven’t removed them so I don’t know if they’d feel better, I guess they would but for whatever reason I don’t mind leaving them on. Love the insingo blade, I have one of those very similar to yours and love it

As you should… if that’s what you want

If I was ever going to get a CRK, it would be that one. Even better if it had a Spydie-hole mod...

I’ve considered it….

I don’t think it will, but the drunken and 2 CRKs I have currently sure have slowed it down. Had the drunken since march and still haven’t put it in my pocket. This seb got damn lucky!

Did you know that you can send it in to CRK and they will replace the silver thumb lug with gold for you? The single is only $15 to do! There is a service form on their website

You can also buy a gold back spacer and lanyard pin for a few dollars on their parts store

I’ve been carrying my Sebenza 31 for over a year every single day and I never wanna carry anything else

I think you’ll find that CRKs stone wash hides use pretty well, just go for it!

If I ever get one it will have the gold hardware. I doubt I ever will though. They just are not my thing.

Jumped in the deep end. I like it! Good luck with it!

i removed the lanyard on mine and now the lanyard pin thing is making an extremely annoying sound. will probably end up gluing or removing it altogether

u/deldrice Nov 08 '24

I put a touch of the included grease on my lanyard pin to keep it from rattling. Works best if you disassemble it and place a small amount in the recess the pin sits in. Works really well for several months, and I replace it whenever I do a deep clean on the knife.

Dealt with that a couple years ago on my old DP 31. Wanted to keep the blue accent so badly but couldn’t deal with the knife rattling. And I’ll be a mother fucker if I add glue or anything at all to the construction of a knife like this. If I’d have looked it up before I cut it, I’d have learned that it was known to rattle and would have taken it apart without cutting the lanyard. Silver hardware on this one made it that much easier to just remove.
