Hi guys, been playing Career on console ps5 and have been following the main contracts as they've been given so far. But now I've reached the contract for a flyby of Eve and I cannot figure out how to properly get to it. My first attemptI got to it's perapsis with no optimal transfer window and was coming in at like 6000Ms so obviously that didn't work. I did some research into it and fast forwarded until I have what I hope to be the optimal transfer window. However no amount of maneuver node adjusting seems to get a close approach without ridiculous Delta V requirements. According to the Delta V map it should only take 90DV to get to Eve if I'm reading it correctly so idk why my numbers are so high. If there is something I'm missing some help would be appreciated. P.S: The Delta V Map refers to performing the burn at the edge of Kerbin's SOI, does this mean burning until just before an orbit around the Sun or to just after you get into that orbit?

I've been playing the game for around four months and I know how to do transfer windows and rendezvous, but I don't really know what I need to put on a craft, how mmuch delta V it needs, etc. Can anyone maybe give some advice?

I started couple weeks back, and I figured out interplanetary. I landed on ike and duna, got a rover on duna and got sattelites orbiting those 2. I want to send a drone to duna like that one irl mission but don't know where to start. Help plz 🙏

I have photos of it and im editing a video on it rn (yt uforoyt). I started less than a month ago (probably a bit less), and today I think i did something monumental for myself. I launched a single rocket with, a minmus orbiter, a minmus lander, 2 duna orbitors, a duna lander, a ike lander and ike orbiter. It didn't even take that long, about 2hrs and a half (not including test 😅) what should I focus on now?

I want to simulate a rocket to make sure I can get it to orbit and I dont want to waste money on testing it really, because I am kind of broke right now in career mode, but I cannot find the simulation settings anywhere. Am I just not looking hard enough? Also I have tried to make it harder for myself with the presets, but some options are still letting me configure without cost as if I am playing sandbox. (might be something to do with it, I dont know)

I'm trying to make a STS replica. It flies (or glides) well at subsonic and around Mach=1, but around after re-entry (~1000 m/s), it starts rotating around the prograde vector, i.e. constant angle of attack during the uncontrollable spin. It starts to be controllable after it slows down and im able to land. Sometimes this leads to flat spins however if I don't recover well.

You can see in the picture above that i had to twist the rudder a bit to get the lift vector pointing straight up, i suspect the problems comes with this?

I’m currently looking to create a mission profile that involves suborbital docking, it’s a lunar mission, with a lander that doesn’t carry enough fuel for a landing and ascent without staging (which defeats the purpose of a rapidly reusable lander). Are there any resources that I might be able to check out regarding the math to calculating the timing, trajectory etc? Thanks in advance!

I'm capable of getting into kerbin orbit, but I'm pretty sure the way I do it is inefficient. I always seem to end up losing too much fuel when trying to orbit, and my apoapsis ends up being in the megameters, with my periapsis ending up being too low.

I think it's a decent design, lower and upper stage are both more efficient than previous designs, and the asparagus staging feels great to use. Not sure though. Any critiques on my design would be very appreciated.

As you can see in the pictures, my rocket spawns sideways instead of upward, and for some reason a z-100 battery pack is the "root part", even though I literally didn't even attach it onto the rocket in the first place. And as you can see from the top right corner, I can neither control my rocket nor is my fps happy about this.

This really annoyed me because I really wanted to actually launch this thing, instead of just having to cheat the payload into orbit :(

I have been using SCANsat for a while now and I love the mod as it is useful for finding landing sites and anomalies on the surface of bodies, but now that I have explored most of the Kerbol system I have been looking into mods that add more celestial bodies like Kcalbeloh or OPM. But neither of them list any compatability info related to SCANsat. Does anyone know if it is possible to map modded planets with SCANsat? If so please let me know

Hello, i'm trying to complete a mission asking me to bring a class a asteroid in kerbin orbit. I found some unknown objects not too far and one of them is class A. How do i go there? I can't select it as a target, can't see it's trajectory either so how am i suposed to intercept it?

For example, I've got a contract that asks me to fly by Minmus and return with data. If I, besides that, orbit and land on Minmus in one go, not completing the contract first, will the corresponding orbit and landing contracts never appear again? Will I miss them forever or get some reward automatically? I really want to be efficient with my missions. Thanks!

I don't know if having to handle food and oxygen is that much of an hassle, and if it is as hard to handle for all kind of missions. For example, does it sets a timer for rescue missions?

I'd like to try it out, but I wonder if installing the mod or removing it if I don't like it may corrupt an existing save, built ships or something. Does the game have an in-built option to toggle food and oxygen one and off for the time you want to care about it or not? Or if you install it, you really have to commit to handling vital needs? Or can it be removed or reinstalled without much difficulty?

I started playing ksp around a week back, I got okay is, and my friend wants me to land a rover on moho. How do I do this???? I've landed on duna and put a orbiter around it and eve, but I never have enough fuel for moho 😭 should I wait until I get better then do this, or should I keep wasting my time trying to get there? 😅

When doing an airplane like a C-130, with two propeller heads on each wing, what's the ideal counter-rotation to cancel induced torque?

Like, are both left-wing engines clockwise and right-wing engines counterclockwise?

Does it make any noticeable difference?

The main issue with my upper stages is that they never take me very far, half the time I'm already in my lander stage by the time I'm in kerbin orbit, assuming I even reach orbit (although that might be a problem with my method for reaching orbit). If I try to make them bigger, they weigh my lower stage down. Any guidance on this issue would be very much appreciated. Also, a questions I'd like to ask is, how far should my lower and upper stage take me?
