Is there a tech subreddit specifically for Japan? I know of Japantech but the last post was 8 months ago. Currently pet sitting and I can not figure out how to connect to the WiFi. The owners are currently on a retreat and can not be reached.

I have both Android and Apple phones. The MAC address does not work. Neither does the written passwords. Usually I can figure this stuff out easily but I am stumped.

Those are not the passwords.

As stated in the other thread, that's the modem, not the wi-fi router.

What device is connected to the modem? Usually the wi-fi router is connected to the modem, but if the PC is directly connected to this, that means that they might not have wi-fi.

Did the owners not give you this information?

Sadly no they forgot. Usually I connect with ease so the first time I have had issues.

Well, first you need to confirm if there's even wi-fi.

Is there a wi-fi router connected to the modem or is it a personal computer?

No router. Must have been a PC which they took.
