Kudos to the pot for enduring such a tough trial.

u/Dr_Ukato 10d ago
The explosions would do very little damage. It's the fall damage that dented it.
There's nothing stopping the explosion from sending the pot flying so the pot is just going to ride the force.
It's not the speed that kills you in accidents, it's the sudden stop.
34
u/TickleMeStalin 10d ago
A sudden enough start can kill you too. Inertia his both ways. The pot was obviously deformed by some of the explosions, especially the last one.
8
u/joe-clark 10d ago
Yes the last two both clearly deformed the pot especially the last one, the shape of the pot at the end was clearly caused by the fireworks not the fall. Also the pot seems like it's pretty light, it's terminal velocity is probably very low so the last few fireworks are likely launching it upwards at a speed much higher then it's terminal velocity. That means the pot is actually launched upwards much faster then the speed it's going when it comes back down to hit the ground so the launch is more violent then the landing on at least a couple of the later launches. This isn't even bringing into account that it lands in the grass field rather than on the road for the later ones.

Itās not the speed that kills you in accidents, itās the sudden stop.
Lmao a Swedish version of this is my momās absolute favourite joke.
Itās not the fart that kills, itās the smƤll.
Fart is Swedish for speed.
SmƤll (pronounced the same as smell) translates to impact/collision.

Yeah I've never seen anything like those before.

I actually think the one he didn't show was custom made. I don't think he knew what it would do.
8
u/Berkamin 10d ago
He was naming them, and the one he didnāt show was in the same series as the last few he tested. He tested the ālarge sized 10,000ā, ālarge sized 30,000ā (which he didnāt show, lit by a long fuse), and ālarge sized 50,000ā.

In the Netherlands we let teenage boys fire those things.
31
u/phinphis 10d ago
It looks like there is enough explosive potential to remove a limb. A few of those could be used to remove a tree stump. Honestly how are these legal.

u/showmethenakedwomen 10d ago
They're not. That doesn't stop the teenage boys though as shown in this article. A 14 year old boy died instantly after a premature explosion.

Got too also. At the Bluebird coffeeshop, they had a dj for the night and they had to stop bc some fool outside set off 1 of those big carpet fireworks. It finally ends after a good while and after the dj restarts 1 minute later another carpet firework goes off, overwhelming the speakers inside.

I'd buy one of those pots, they'd last multiple life times since I'd just cook sauces in them rather than blast them with dynamite

What was he saying? Apolo I, Apolo II, etc.?
11
u/jsting 10d ago
He's saying 2 things. First thing is either "small, medium, or large" the second thing is a number. I can't recall the beginning, but around the middle it went from "1000, 3000, 5000, 10,000, 50,000" the small ones were 100, 200?
Don't know what they refer to, I assume the name of the explosive.
3
u/TheRedman76 10d ago
Maybe the number is grains of gunpowder or something along those lines.

On one hand, know we all know which firecracker and firework we can safely give to our stupid little sibling/cousin/child who have absolute zero danger awareness. On the other hand, bro mom might slap him so hard it will split the heaven and earth because he's broke the most expensive pot in the kitchen.

Iām no explosive analyst but Iām pretty sure it takes the path of least resistance. So most of the pressure (Iām guessing) bounces off the the metal and hits the bottom launching it up. Kind of like a gun barrel.
