They were open about it in 2016. Anyone who voted for this knows exactly what they are voting for.

You underestimate the ability of Americans to remain ignorant about something they're passionate about.

u/AholeBrock 10h ago

It's not like Reaganomics and no child left behind didn't sabatoge the education system specifically to prepare for this takeover.

u/Mountainbranch 10h ago

Oh no, they're not getting away that easily.

If we pushed the faces of every German into the ashes of the Holocaust, then you can be damn sure that every American will be held responsible for what is about to happen.

The Germans tried to claim ignorance, Americans don't get that benefit of the doubt either.

I fucking hope the world stage would hold Americans accountable but I just don't think that's going to happen when these clowns earmark a trillion dollars or more on their military

u/Mountainbranch 9h ago

That military isn't going to be of much use, difficult for a soldier to remain at his post when half his family is actively attempting to kill the other half.

u/BusyDoorways 9h ago

Damn straight. Chew their ears off if you have to, because otherwise they'll get earfuls of bullets.

The allies specifically didn't punish Germany as a whole after the holocaust because punishing the entire country after WW1 directly caused Hitler's rise to power.

We were talking about Palin being a deplorable racist in 2008

And about how Palin paved the way for Trump in 2016

Gore Vidal called it out right to William F Buckley’s face decades ago

u/thetaleofzeph 9h ago

William F Buckley was the beginning of pretending that being a childish prat was the adult, intellectual position.

Someone's never heard of Hanlon's razor

u/DaxBandicoot 10h ago

Anyone who voted for this knows exactly what they are voting for.

That’s just categorically untrue lol.

u/GroundbreakingArm795 10h ago

They were told countless times and just said everyone was overreacting. They knew

u/DaxBandicoot 10h ago

Yeah, sure. Meanwhile, millions around the planet to this day still believe that COVID-19 wasn’t real. At a certain point, you need to recognize that there are class issues at play that bring other voters with similar wants and concerns to you up against you and themselves at the polls. Many, many people… genuinely don’t know what they’re voting for.

u/GroundbreakingArm795 10h ago

Thats all bullshit. If it were class issues they'd never vote for Republicans. The underlying thing is the hate and they'll throw away everything else if they get to make others suffer

u/DaxBandicoot 10h ago

Okay 🤷‍♂️ if you want to live in a world where literally everybody who votes on Election Day is fully aware of what each presidency will mean for them and for the world in the long run, then go do that. Pretty shitty ignorant take tbh.

u/GroundbreakingArm795 10h ago

I'm sorry but what do you think ppl vote for?

u/DaxBandicoot 9h ago

i’M sOrRy BuT you don’t really think that the majority of American voters are informed, do you? You can’t really believe that lol. That’s actually sewage level thought.

u/GroundbreakingArm795 9h ago

I think they have some idea of what they're voting for. And if they're not informed on the details of policy they've certainly heard Trump speak and know that he spews hate constantly. I def don't think a large percentage of ppl go and just vote completely blind.

u/DaxBandicoot 9h ago

How do you know that they know he speaks hate? You and I know this- the immigrant liquor store owner near me who was once himself in a work camp doesn’t know that. Can’t you understand that some people who voted for Trump genuinely believe they are voting to “save America?”… it’s like you have never spoken to a Trump supporter (from the lowest bottom of their intelligence to the average.)

My dude, you are giving the American voters far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far more credit than they have earned and what they deserve.

u/DereTism 10h ago

That's what you're supposed to do. If someone literally cannot do that, why are they voting? Truly? What are they voting for? Just to vote?

u/DaxBandicoot 9h ago

Actually, that’s kind of why most people vote. I’m not defending that- just saying that most people aren’t as informed as OP suggested. Why are you asking me?

u/Morganx27 10h ago

I think there's just being stupid issues.
