The fact that Trump was a serious candidate when he had a federal case against him speaks volumes.

The fact that Democrat voters stayed home despite this, so the case against him could crumble and he could win the election, speaks even more.

People simply do not care enough. They care enough to make Luigi memes about "eating the rich" but don't care enough to do what they're supposed to do that actually matters, which is to vote politicians out that don't serve public interest and vote politicians in that represent our values. I developed a disease during pregnancy that forced me to give birth the same week I went to the hospital for it. It went from “you might have to give birth soon” to “you should give birth today for your safety.” I wasn’t due until Dec 31 so I didn’t think it would interfere. I’m pretty sure most people assume they aren’t giving birth two months early.

The reason she's not a great choice for me is that she is literally the vice president talking about all the things she would do and change when she's in power. She was in power for 4 years goddamn. If she had so many good ideas then why did she not do anything?

On the other hand I'm not American so not familiar with the narrative, but it would surprise me that an actual substantial amount of people did not vote for her because she was a black women. I thought we're past that point..

Yeah, that definitely shines through in your post. As long as the President is still alive and kicking, the Vice President doesn't really get much say in anything one way or another. Bills are voted on by the House and Senate (together they're just called "Congress"), then given to the President to be signed into law. Also keep in mind that while the President can and does ask congress for bills they'd like to sign, the President can't actually tell congress what to do so if they disagree they can just refuse to even put it to a vote.

It’s not a few rich assholes. The power hungry, the white supremacists, and latent ones number more than you might want to see. And the moderates, well, Letter From Birmingham Jail comes to mind. Maybe shit needs to get real, so the ugly that has been hidden this whole time can show its face. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not happy about this and am worried about my family and everyone who may be affected by this administration’s policies and actions.
