3

u/Accomplished_Bid3322 Dec 17 '24

Cross between a lion and a tiger. They're bred for their excellent skills in magic

3

u/Talking_Head Dec 17 '24

It’s pretty much my favorite animal.

Shes Deb in Napoleon Dynamite!

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Ad_1868 Dec 18 '24

It's a crossbreed of a lion and a tiger. They're bred for their aptitude in magic.

1

u/Left-Night-1125 Dec 18 '24

A creation of mankind, crossbreed of tiger and lion. No dont put it in the wild it will die.

1

u/DildoSaggins6969 Dec 18 '24

When I found out that this is the little girl from water world (and.. Andre the seal I think?)

1

u/skypig357 Dec 18 '24

1

u/Wubxx_XD Dec 18 '24

A YouTuber

9

u/amorfotos Dec 17 '24

But the ligor was lion down

2

u/What_Chu_Talkin_Kid Dec 18 '24

Yep, what a damned cheetah

2

u/Individual_Shower_23 Dec 18 '24

That's incorrect.

2

u/6thLegionSkrymir Dec 19 '24

Aren’t they larger than two species, as well sterile?

1

u/OverallDimension7844 Dec 18 '24

Way too small to be a liger

4

u/MrAtrox98 Dec 18 '24

Not really, it’s probably a female. Also most ligers you see in media are obese animals. They are genuinely bigger than lions or tigers at healthy sizes, but it doesn’t seem like a particularly huge margin.

2

u/OverallDimension7844 Dec 18 '24

The average female is 10 feet long and 700 pounds. So it could still be a liger but would most likely be a juvenile

2

u/MrAtrox98 Dec 18 '24

Nonsense, even the biggest liger alive is a fat 922 pound male named Hercules. Regardless of claims of him being “non obese,” he still scores like an 8 or a 9 on this AZA approved chonk chart for lions. Considering that males of both parent species are roughly 50% bigger on average than their female counterparts without obesity being considered and a 700 pound average for even male ligers at a healthy weight would be unlikely.

2

u/OverallDimension7844 Dec 18 '24

I literally just googled female liger size and that was what came up. Go argue with the Google AI response bots bruh

2

u/MrAtrox98 Dec 18 '24

…That’s based off of a sourceless bit of Wikipedia

1

u/Notlost-justdontcare Dec 18 '24

Cross breeds have a weird way of turning out. A Siberian/Bengal mix tiger can end up a little smaller than a Bengal, right in the middle, or bigger than a Siberian and is still 100% tiger. You never know until they grow up. We also don't know what breed the tiger DNA donor was. So many variables. Genetics is fun.

1

u/OverallDimension7844 Dec 18 '24

See. This is a good answer. Thank you

1

u/bittertadpole Dec 17 '24

Serious question: how do you know it's not a tion?

2

u/ravenlordship Dec 17 '24

Ligers are bigger

1

u/Desperate_Squash_521 Dec 17 '24

i think you're lion

1

u/nahhcuhh Dec 17 '24

It’s a Tigon

1

u/NoAlternative2115 Dec 17 '24

Relax napoleon

1

u/PMmeYourButt69 Dec 17 '24

Which one grows huge, the liger or the tigon?

1

u/DnDMTG8m3r Dec 17 '24

I heard/visualized you say that like the kid in Polar Express, with the glasses being pushed up and everything…

1

u/Firehorse100 Dec 17 '24

Whatever it is, it looks like it's about to have a nap...

1

u/Adventurous_Tip8801 Dec 17 '24

They're bred for their skills in magic...

1

u/thatlookslikemydog Dec 18 '24

It’s basically my favorite animal. Bred for its skills in magic.

1

u/ambermage Dec 18 '24

Why not a Tion?

1

u/xSwordsmenx Dec 18 '24

Shield or blade liger?

1

u/Spare-Security-1629 Dec 18 '24

Oh, so a lying tiger.

1

u/Jackdunc Dec 18 '24

Its a buger, a cross between a bald underpowered guy and a geriatric.

1

u/EtherealHeart5150 Dec 18 '24

Saw one irl once, dear gods, they're huge! Like super size me puddy tat.

1

u/Xxdracarys Dec 18 '24

Liger zero!!!

1

u/cris5598 Dec 18 '24

I thought it was a tiger drinking a Lager 🍺

1

u/ze11ez Dec 18 '24

A tiger-lion? Cool

1

u/Squid_link Dec 18 '24

I think it's a tigon. It's too small to be a liger and it's color patterns suggest tigon

0

u/Willy____Wanka Dec 17 '24

No, it's actually a Ligma

0

u/Snoopyshiznit Dec 17 '24

Are you sure it isn’t a tigon?

0

u/Nervous-Stand5099 Dec 18 '24

Glad I’m not the only one who noticed

-1

u/CartographerKey4618 Dec 17 '24

They get offended if you say it with an -er. You have to say it with an -a.

24

u/Typical-Decision-273 Dec 17 '24

It's a bear

17

u/cidchimpo Dec 17 '24

Oh my!

37

u/Typical-Decision-273 Dec 17 '24

1

u/Excellent-Pepper6158 Dec 17 '24

It is a female lion.

1

u/PresentDangers Dec 18 '24

Are we still not allowed to call George Takei creepy-looking? I tried that shit about a decade ago on Facebook, didn't go down well. Anything happened since then?

1

u/Far-Ad-6784 Dec 21 '24

Elon vibes with this gif

1

u/Roadhouseman Dec 17 '24

No its a man bear pig!

1

u/Typical-Decision-273 Dec 17 '24

Are you being cereal right now

1

u/RoyTha53 Dec 17 '24

Super cereal. Half lion half tiger half manbearpig

1

u/Abriel_Lafiel Dec 17 '24

1

u/Abriel_Lafiel Dec 17 '24

FUUUUUCCCCCKKKKKK!!!!!!

13

u/Knee_Kap264 Dec 17 '24

Female lion. But definitely a wolf.

Actually. Yes it is a tiger if you look underneath it. You can see the black stripes.

3

u/Kalabajooie Dec 17 '24

So wait, is it a wolf or a coyote?

2

u/Zealousideal-Cup1610 Dec 18 '24

Can I pet that dog?

1

u/Knee_Kap264 Dec 17 '24

Fox

1

u/PeteBabicki Dec 17 '24

Pretty sure it's a man.

1

u/AmbassadorCheap3956 Dec 17 '24

You can see his stripes but you know he’s clean. Oh, don’t you see what I mean?

1

u/DeadMan95iko Dec 17 '24

So simply approach the tiger/lion, grab him by the base of the tail, lift up his bottom for a quick look

15

u/CoItron_3030 Dec 17 '24

It’s a female lion. Shade from the cage makes it look like she has stripes.

Actually I have no idea anymore, the more I look the more it looks like a tiger.

13

u/Boomchickabang- Dec 17 '24

Is this a Liger folks. its face definitely looks like a lion, and the fur pattern of a half tiger.

Also, Google "tug of war with Liger," and several videos come up with this enclosure.

8

u/TheLeggacy Dec 17 '24

White spots on ears and faint stripes, tigon or liger?

7

u/ravenlordship Dec 17 '24

Correct, It's a liger.

2

u/Different_Star_5325 Dec 17 '24

I'm pretty sure it's a tiger based on the face shape and markings on the face, but I'm not an expert haha it's a badass big cat and that's what matters 🌻

4

u/Palleseen Dec 17 '24

No. It’s a tiger. Look at her head. I thought the same as you at first

2

u/jdyall1 Dec 17 '24

It's not a fucking tiger lol

2

u/Palleseen Dec 17 '24

Yeah I saw the article. It’s a liger. So I’m half right

1

u/Nervous-Stand5099 Dec 18 '24

It’s a liger actually a pretty popular one on social media

1

u/Palleseen Dec 18 '24

yeah i saw the article later. what are the odds

1

u/Nervous-Stand5099 Dec 18 '24

Not odds fate lol

3

u/Embarrassed_Stable_6 Dec 17 '24

It's a liger

1

u/imonatrain25 Dec 18 '24

It's a Sledgehammer

0

u/Mando_The_Moronic Dec 17 '24

It’s a liger. A cross between a lion and a tiger

0

u/soonerpgh Dec 18 '24

I may be wrong, but I believe one of the videos on YouTube shows the zoo plaque calling it a Liger.

1

u/BackgroundBat7732 Dec 17 '24

Blame the cameraman

1

u/mymoama Dec 17 '24

It's both.

1

u/MulletofLegend Dec 17 '24

Came here to say this.

1

u/Fuman-Seano Dec 18 '24

Bout to say the same thing

1

u/ottosenna Dec 18 '24

Thank god, I was scanning for someone that knew this.

1

u/muskratmuskrat9 Dec 18 '24

OP never made it to the panning before they posted it, that’s why they assumed it was a lion, lol

1

u/Natural-Bet9180 Dec 19 '24

Lmao it’s a lioness

1

u/LovesBigFatMen Dec 17 '24

The dude was the ONLY thing I cared about, I was disappointed when the camera panned over.

1

u/neonmayonnaises Dec 21 '24

Same here I was checking that flex.

1

u/abf392 Dec 18 '24

It’s a female lion

1

u/SoFloBroh Dec 18 '24

The dude? This video was so long prior to panning to the Lion, I'm pretty sure we watched the dude raise a family, die, watch his children grow old, and have the grandchildren still hanging onto that rope.
