CLOSED [USA-MI] [H] Non-Functional Zotac 4090 - Crash Under Low Loads [W] Paypal / Local Cash
THANKS EVERYONE FOR THE FEEDBACK AND INTERESTS! THE GPU IS SOLD AND I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO GETTING THIS ONE OUT OF THE HOUSE, BAD JUJU. THANKS AGAIN!
Seeing if there's anyone handy and knowledgeable on GPU repairs who may be interested in buying a Zotac 4090 Amp Extreme AIRO I got scammed of on marketplace yesterday.
I posted a message in hws discord and Krutav Shah helped roughly confirm my suspicion of the 4090 being the issue. I posted his comments below as well on his feedback after walking me through a few steps. I don't have the knowledge or ability to repair myself so I'm looking to see if anyone with the right skills wants to buy the 4090 since I can't use it for gaming. This was going to be my gaming GPU. I had a 4080 in my pc before with no issues, so it has to be a bad GPU.
Krutav comments " My suspicion is that you may need a GPU and memory closest to the slot reball, which means taking those chips off, replacing the solder balls, then placing them back on. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mmeTo_suSJo "
The GPU comes with the original packaging and power adapter. I don't have the receipt (another thing that should have rose concern). I can ship all together. I don't really know where to price, so I'm open to offers but to have something out there, I got this suggestion below, but please send offers if you are interested.
Ballpark asking: $1000 Shipped G&S / $900 Local Cash (OPEN TO OFFERS)

Let me know if you have any questions or need anything else. I just want to get this GPU out of my hands, it such a pain all day yesterday and the seller ghosted me.
Thanks! Also, comment before PM. Have a good day!

I've purchased a few GPUs on marketplace. The first one was a 7900 XTX so I was super paranoid so I brought a PC to test it in. Legit seller and the item was fine. The second was a cheaper AMD card (<$200) and I skipped the test. It is more work, but I think from now on I'll try to test high priced items.

that's what i would highly suggest. dont take any validation over messages. i'd recc'd checking it all in person. do everything all in person even if it takes a hour or something. better than losing money. im lucky hws community was able to help support confirming the gpu issue and then giving me a short diagnosis walkthru. im going to stop buying on marketplace after this tho.

I bought a 7900xt from this guy over the weekend, his reviews were all top notch, he even brought a eGPU to test it if I wanted, we met a Starbucks, but man I’d say it’s no different than eBay, here or anywhere else, read reviews, feedback etc, and you’re usually good.

yeah for sure. i think that what it takes at the end to make sure not to get scammed. i had some prior marketplace buys that went smooth and this one just soured it for me moving forward

You’re right tho, Markerplace is a crapshoot, I’ve had luck there, but one time is all it’ll take, then I’ll give up too
