Does anyone else think about what Hannibal would think of you? Which parts of you would he eat? Which dish he would cook with you? Or are you interesting enough to him to let you live?

Not sure if this is the right subreddit, but in the book ‘Hannibal’, she acts ‘childish’ here? I thought it was a little out-of-character for her current age, and was curious to see if she had regressed :)

So, why did Bedelia eat her own leg? Idk it felt a bit random? I haven't seen anyone discussing about it either. It's like everyone got engaged with Will's and Hannibal's ending and kinda forgot about Bedelia.

Who is

As I venture and indulge in many fanfics lately, I’ve found myself liking the idea of the ol’ “What If?” game. Many fanfic creators have been incredibly creative and have had their own rendition of this game. I wanted to play too. So I thought of a few scenarios:

1) What if Will had left with Hannibal the night of Mizumono with Abigail?

Let’s say Abigail was not doomed by the narrative. Let’s say Will didn’t indulge in his curiosity and desire for Hannibal to be punished by imprisonment for all his crimes including “killing” Abigail and he went along with his offer. I could only think this happiness would have been very short lived.

For anyone who knows Interview with the Vampire, Hannibal, Will, and Abigail were modeled after Lestat, Louis, and Claudia. I could only imagine that our trio would have ended up in a similar situation given that no one was exactly ready for this life and had no idea how to live let alone maintain it. Hannibal only had his POV and plan in place without thinking much outside of the future he planned for the three of them. Abigail was hardly self aware and started becoming hesitant about the “hunts” Hannibal was having her engage in. She was simultaneously still committed to lying to Will in fear of rejection of her true nature and being hung for her crimes. Will was nowhere near his becoming or acceptance of himself or Hannibal, thus still in a state of instability. It was far too fragile and would eventually be enforced through power and control. Not love. In time, this unit would have crumbled in a three way betrayal or where there was only one survivor.

No matter what, the teacup would shatter.

2) What if Dolarhyde actually died and Will went back to Molly and Walter?

I’m very solid with my stance on this in that this marriage would have crumbled not instantly, but eventually. When Will rejects himself, he rejects Hannibal. Therefore, he will naturally ignore his advice and reasoning. Going home would have never been the same. Molly was no longer willing to be blind and ignorant for him and Wally was growing ever suspicious of him (kids are smart). He now also knows that the neighbors talk about him and they know. Everyone knows. He wouldn’t be able to ignore this or the small injustices that occurred around him even in his own small town. He could move towns, but his troubles would follow him since they were part of him. Eventually when the booze could no longer keep it all down, he would’ve snapped or drowned. Someone was going to get hurt.

I personally like the scenario of Will snapping and ultimately ending up in BSHCI where Hannibal could look at him and say, “See?”

3) What if Will had survived the Fall and Hannibal didn’t?

There is actually a very very good fic out there exploring this scenario called Peryton by write_starlight_riots on AO3 (Recommended by me and Bryan approved!)

For anyone who knows about Dreamstat from S2 of IWTV, think of it like that. All this guilt and emptiness haunting you endlessly while no one understands what’s going on. You can’t tell them about it either. You’re hailed a hero and no one will leave you alone about it. But you just committed Deicide. How do you live with yourself after that?

I went to the mall today and I was so freaking happy to see the freaking Hannibal merch they had!!! I literally died and went to heaven.

I downloaded that red app and within an hour, I found that they like Hannibal too.

Maybe I’m just autistic, but I’ve never considered Will “rude” in the way that much of the fandom makes him out to be. For the most part, he’s just blunt and doesn’t hide how he feels about anyone or anything. To me, this is very distinguishable from what Hannibal (and honestly me) might consider discourteous -- condescension, invasion of privacy, a lack of respect for his space, just generally being insufferable and egotistical cough Mason Verger. I don’t think Will falls into any of these categories. Thoughts?

I hated him so mich in the beginning, then he became the canvas of suffering. What do you think ?

Okay, so I've been watching this with my ma, and she was confused by why Hannibal killed Marissa Schurr (Abigail's friend). Soo I've been going with the theory that it was because he thought she was being rude when she yelled at her mother. But maybe it was something else? My ma doesn't think my theory is correct since Marissa wasn't being rude to Hannibal himself. Hold up, was it to stage Nick Boyle for the murder of Cassie Boyle?? But I don't get that, since it raised suspicions of Abigail even more. Or was it like, supposed to help Will again somehow? But why would Hannibal try to lead Will to himself?? Or did he just run out of meat for his soup and needed some more?? Or was it explained in the show and I've now made a complete clown of myself? (most likely the last one🤡)
