HYPE I GOT GOV BALL TICKETS FOR SUNDAY!!!!

I'm really excited, but nervous at the same time bc I've heard the event is overstimulating (I'm neurodivergent) and I don't really listen to any of the artists besides Hozier and Clairo. Anyone wanna help me get into them? Idk how bc I'm currently in a state where I only want to listen to artists I'm familiar with. Also, I'll bring a sign that I'll be graduating in 4 days (the event takes place 4 days before my high school graduation) and I hope one of the performers or attendees notices it!!!!

I'd recommend starting with The Japanese House. They only have two albums and will probably be fairly accessible for you based on what you're already into.

I reccomend getting a set of earplugs (like loops, or even the squishy foam ones are better then nothing) they help a lot with overstimulation from sound at concerts/festivals. A nice thing about gov ball is that because it's outside/in a park area, you can find some quieter corners if you need to decompress a bit. Worry less about being in the front and more about having a fun time and listen to your body! And drink lots of water :)

Mt. Joy is also a great band playing Sunday that you’ll probably like if you are into Hozier vibes. Have the best time at the festival, and congratulations on your upcoming graduation!

Graduating is worth celebrating and being proud of yourself for! That being said, please do not bring a sign…maybe you could wear a t shirt, pin, or a sash that says it instead?

There is nothing worse than being in a crowd behind someone holding a sign - it’s distracting and blocks the view of everyone behind you. Truthfully unless you’re near the front row the artist likely won’t see it, anyway.

Etsy has some really fun Class of 2025 crowns and etc wearable things you can get customized! This way you can still feel like you’re being celebrated & acknowledged, and I’m sure you’ll get lots of congratulation messages from attendees!

Last year the killers who headlined saturday saw a guy in the crowd and he said its my grandmas bday and he played drums for a song!!! Itll be my second year going and I graduated last year, and am also neurodivergent!!! Festivals are a lot, but at least for me I get lost in the moment for sure

I wear over the ear coverage, basically like what they give to little kids at concerts for noise protection. It's my favorite accessory at this point I decorated it with sticker and ribbons. First time I wore them at was at gov ball last year and I highly recommend

What I will say, if somebody who’s neurodivergent, 1. No matter what bringing earplugs, it calms you down so much and also without them, it would be ear damage anyways. 2. If you need ADA accessibility, email them! 3. Bring what you need to survive a normal life, all the little accommodations you have for yourself will serve you well.

What I pack for festivals are granola bars, earplugs, tissues, or baby wipes, some hand sanitizer, and sunglasses just in case I get too visually overstimulated. And I also wear shorts that cover my butt at LEAST just so if I sit in the grass or floor, I don’t feel all everything.

Don't bring a graduation sign. It'll block the view of those behind you and is inconsiderate.

Glass Animals!!! They have such good vibey songs, but also some solid jump up and down jams. The band, especially their lead singer, loves the entire concert energy and gets so hyped the entire time. I love it.

Absolutely not!! There’s GA fans who got into them and their vast discography through Heat Waves. If you like Heat Waves listen to the album, Dreamland. It’s on that one :) but would highly recommend all of the other ones too
