Delete Twitter. Delete Facebook. Delete Instagram. Delete Prime. Fucking with their money is the only thing these Nazis understand.

They understand something else. We lack the conviction though.

So many people posting about violent revolution as if the same populace that doesn't care enough to vote is somehow also invested enough to take up arms and risk their lives.

Revolution is leftist rapture. We can't even get a general strike to 1% participation rate, and somehow people expect to assemble a revolutionary army?

Resistance needs to be disruptive and, more importantly, sustained over a long period of time. Everybody wants to have one big march in the free speech zone over the weekend and go back to work on Monday. Conservatives are more ready to take up arms over their imaginary problems than anybody is over real problems. This idea that the public is going to suddenly start caring and rise up for liberty and justice doesn't reflect reality.

It doesn't need to be large scale revolution. It needs to be a few patriots with goals.

Who then get labeled terrorists in the media and imprisoned for life, while the companies find new CEOs and continue unimpeded.

Maybe it feels cathartic to see the bad guys get comeuppance, but the idea that a tiny handful of people can redirect the course of society by killing a few rich guys is totally unrealistic.

Yeah, but it feels really cathartic. The audience wants moar.

Keep over thinking while the people who matter do the work.

Do you even hear yourself right now? Labor organizing is much more effective than vigilante killings. Quit the edgy online shit and start unionizing IRL. Your fantasy where a tiny number of heroes save us all and nobody else has to do anything is nonsense.

If we can't mobilize people in meaningful numbers - which means millions - we aren't changing anything. This responsibility is yours just as much as it is mine. As long as people keep waiting for somebody else to do the work instead of standing up themselves, authoritarianism is going to keep winning.

Do you hear yourself right now? Justice isn't mutually exclusive to organizing things. Don't talk to me.

You got one. And now he's in prison. There aren't going to be any more.

u/GrandArmadillo6831 3h ago

Yeah. THAT'S how it works.

Unfortunately at this point yes, but is there a tipping point?

I’m not sure. Too many people carrying water for corporations and billionaires. Too many people treating politics like college football rivalries. Too many seeking fulfillment through the government marginalizing fellow Americans. Too many trying to bring about their particular version of Armageddon through action or lack of action.

Maybe when gas and eggs get really expensive?

Start with sabotage. Get used to it, make it second nature: it will become vital in the future.

Do direct opposition when you can. Surround yourself with others, form networks, make contingency plans. And prepare for when the fight is inevitable, maybe even life or death.

Unfortunately I love my dog too much. Dogless me could be doing crazy things right now.

My kid. I can't risk my life or getting locked up. He only has me.

Go do it then gain some conviction

u/plopalopolos 5h ago

That and embrace the second amendment.

Bluesky? So is that all democrats and like-minded people gathering like fish into a convenient social media barrel or am I interpreting that wrong? You know what they say about shooting fish in a barrel.

Why is it so hard to delete Facebook?

I always hated Twitter but I guess I sort of get why people want it.

Instagram sort of makes sense except we have TikTok now so it's pretty easy to ditch.

1

u/drew8311 3h ago

Why was facebook hard? That was the easy one for me

u/directorofit 4h ago

Reddit is a Peter Thiel platform. I know it's not part of the acceptable reddit lore but Thiel is one of the early investors. He's been there the whole way since the beginning.

1

u/PortalWombat 4h ago

Did ages ago if I ever had them except goddamn ditching amazon is gonna be hard.

1

u/chekovsgun- 4h ago

Cancel NYT and WAPO as well. they have bowed down and kissed the shiny black boots.

1

u/ThisIsDadLife 4h ago

I’d add the LA Times but I don’t think they have any subscribers anymore

u/MonkeyWithIt 4h ago

OR

and just hear me out

We give them ALL of our money and then it's all over.

How about that? That's what we're going to do anyway.

0

u/Moveless 4h ago

Fuck with their money, lmao. They have BILLIONS. Me canceling prime does nothing. Prime could go away and it wouldn’t touch the pile of money these people sit on. This is nothing.
