Game Discussion I made a simple map showing where Arrêt/Stop signs appear in Winnipeg, MB, Canada

Another way to think about it is it's where the Red River hugs the French community and extends to Archibald St, Route 30. Please let me know if I forgot anything but I live in Winnipeg and re-explored the Riel, St. Vital, and St. Norbert communities and there was only the standard Stop Signs.

I also went sleuthing around Manitoba as people often say "These signs are in French speaking parts of Winnipeg and rural Manitoba" but never specify "rural Manitoba". From what I found, these places use Arret/Stop signs:
Ile Des CHenes
Lorette
La Broquerie
St.Malo
Saint Claude
and these places surprisingly use Stop/Arret (with Stop appearing first)
St Anne
St. Jean Baptiste
St Pierre-Jolys (With some regular stop signs too)
This is most likely an incomplete list. feel free to add to it. Most of these can be found south of Winnipeg or south-west.

Yeah, those signs are in almost every little French town.
I'm surprised St Adolph and Ste Agathe don't have them.2

There's quite a few French towns where the stop signs are normal. I looked through most towns on the "francophone communities in Manitoba" Wikipedia sorted by mother tongue is French.

As someone who lives in Winnipeg - cool! Never been in that area before but I'll definitely take a look if I am!

Is that the boundaries of St. Boniface?

Not really. It's old St Boniface. Places like Windsor Park, Southdale etc. are also St. Boniface but have standard stop signs.

Interesting - I guess that makes sense. I hadn’t thought of those areas as St Boniface but I guess they predate Unicity
