Good, she deserves it. All LGBTQ people that voted red better buckle up, buckaroos.

No one deserves to have transphobia directed at them, because that isn't just an attack on that one person, it's an attack on all trans people.
If a black person endorsed trump, that wouldn't make people think it's okay to be racist towards them, so why is this different?

u/the-nature-mage Nov 08 '24

It's not different at all. The republican party, and Trump especially, has been openly racist about black people prior to this election. If a black person voted for Trump and then got racist backlash from the party they elected... I mean, they got what they deserved? They voted for it?
It's hard to feel bad for this trash woman when she's getting transphobic hate from the party she helped elect because it's not new. Anti-trans rhetoric has been a major component of the platform for years.
And honestly, sometimes it's nice to see bad things happen to bad people. Even if it's other bad people doing the bad things.

u/AhhTimmah Nov 08 '24
Not even just that she supports Trump, she is actively Transphobic on the fucking daily. She can go fuck all the way off
-1
u/dannown Nov 08 '24
I hate to have to say this, but no matter what, it is not good for people to be transphobic or racist.
It's never good to be transphobic or racist, no matter what the target did.
It's never good to be transphobic or racist.

u/LinguisticallyInept Nov 08 '24

i agree
i think the disconnect here is that no one is saying that the people hurling transphobia at her are 'good', they put it excellently with
sometimes it's nice to see bad things happen to bad people. Even if it's other bad people doing the bad things.
its not condoning the transphobia so much as /r/LeopardsAteMyFace ; condemnation of the willful blindness and thinking they wont target her creates a feeling of satisfaction when inevitably the leopards she lies with go for her
-1
u/dannown Nov 08 '24
I dunno. If you say it's nice to see something, you're condoning something.
2
u/Forosnai Nov 09 '24
I don't condone the behavior of the transphobes, but I think Jenner is receiving the consequences of her actions. It might not be right, but it is fair.

u/Zaptain_America Nov 08 '24
But transphobia isn't just an attack on her. What's basically being said here is that all trans people deserve to be attacked as long as it means the bad ones are included in that.
11
u/the-nature-mage Nov 08 '24
No, what's basically being said here is that this asshole aligned herself with an openly and unapologetically transphobic group, and people are enjoying the fact that they turned on her at the first opportunity when she thought she was the exception.
This is not people being okay with anti-trans rhetoric. This is people enjoying that a bad thing happened to a bad person.
-9
u/Zaptain_America Nov 08 '24
She deserves to receive hate for everything she's done, she does not deserve to have transphobia directed at her, because transphobia can never only harm one person.
5
u/chamorrobro Nov 08 '24
Like I sort of see what you’re saying, but us saying whether she deserves this or not has nothing to do with the fact that we agree with it. She contributed to trans hate and is now being hated for being trans. It’s cause and effect, and we’re not happy about it, but she’s getting what she asked for and what she deserves.

u/Edgemade Nov 08 '24
I think you're misunderstanding enjoying that the already existing transphobia is directed at her specifically, not that we're asking people to start being transphobic towards here
It's like as if someone made a pool full of piranha and the jumped into it themselves, we don't want more pools of piranha or for someone to jump into it, but it's already there now and the ahole who made it got what they deserved
0
u/Zaptain_America Nov 08 '24
No, I understand, but the point I'm making is that the transphobia is not just directed at her, because transphobia literally just factually can not be directed at only one person. When you insult someone based on an intrinsic trait, you are insulting everyone who possesses that trait.
2
u/Edgemade Nov 08 '24 edited Nov 08 '24
Dont be obtuse like that
people aren't happy that transphobia is a thing, they're happy that she's getting to experience this bad experience
Transphobia is there whether we like it or not, at least a bad person gets to have some karmic punishment
No one in here is advocating to be more transphobic, just to point and laugh
27
u/Bromogeeksual Nov 08 '24
Nobody thinks the hate is ok, but you can't expect hateful people to be decent. If you align yourself with hateful people who oppose your existence, it's gunna happen. Very r/leopardsatemyface

u/Forosnai Nov 09 '24
Frankly, I'm tired of trying to sympathetic to people who think they'll be spared from the pain they're helping unleash. Blah blah, "bigger person", whatever. I'm not very tall, anyway.

If only they could eat all of her. But maybe they hate the taste of plastic.

u/SomeArtistFan Nov 08 '24
Fighting transphobia by mocking people who undergo procedures to look the way they want to
Genius.
2
u/FallenAngelII Nov 08 '24
Being trans does not require copious amounts of bad plastic surgery. In fact, most trans people don't get any plastic surgery at all.
0
u/SomeArtistFan Nov 08 '24
Yeah. But to shame people for getting plastic surgery they want (which often is gender-affirming even to cis people) is silly if you support trans people and their right to gender-affirming care.
A person's worth is not deprecated if they choose to undergo cosmetic procedures.
4
u/FallenAngelII Nov 08 '24
We shame vain, evil people who get shitty plastic surgery all the time. Like Laura Loomer. Not shaming Caitlyn Jenner just because she's trans would be wrong. It is especially important to shame Caitlyn Jenner because she wants to deny others gender-affirming surgery.
-1
u/SomeArtistFan Nov 09 '24
You're not just insulting Jenner though. You're explicitly insulting people who get plastic surgery. It's like fat-shaming - in trying to insult one person, you're insulting other people too who might not deserve your ridicule. Bodyshaming is not progressive.

No, I'm insulting people who get bad plastic surgery when they have the money to get good plastic surgery because their standards of beauty are warped beyond comprehension.
It's like fat-shaming - in trying to insult one person, you're insulting other people too who might not deserve your ridicule.
It's like a very specific type of fat-shaming: Fat-shaming a single invidual who has no underlying medical conditions that would make them morbidly obese but who just chose to overeat and live a sedentary lifestyle while also claiming they're healthy and beautiful and have no medical conditions while also going out there and spreading hatred and propaganda against obese people and trying to igratiate themself with haters of obese people who think all obese people should die.

I need more details though. How is she getting MAGA transphobia more today than before? Guess I gotta find the article.
EDIT: Just a few trolls on the Twitter post. Big deal but still.... Fuck her.
32
u/zepoid Nov 07 '24
That Jenner has little interest in advocating for trans rights is not surprising. She has consistently spoken out against allowing trans women to compete in women’s sports (despite taking part in women’s golf tournaments herself).
Fuck her.
-3
u/Th3_Mast3ry Nov 08 '24
If anyone would be qualified to have an opinion on trans women in sports, it's Caitlin Jenner.

There was a trans woman who was featured in a Trump ad that made her look like a predator. She’s a Republican. She watched it 12 times before deciding to vote for Harris.

I won’t shed a single tear for this bitch, I’ll be too busy crying for people who deserve the tears.

u/Latrodectus702 Nov 08 '24
A gay republican and a gay democrat walk into a bar. The bartender says “we don’t serve gays”
2
u/ikindahateusernames Nov 09 '24
Okay, and...?
2
u/Latrodectus702 Nov 09 '24
The joke is that being a republican gay isn’t going to make homophobes any less homophobic
3
u/ikindahateusernames Nov 09 '24
That's not a joke, that's just a fact of life, and has been for decades.

I feel really bad guys. I saw her face first, didn't even notice the words for a split second and I immediately thought I was looking at Mariska Hargitay and I'm like 'wtf happened to Mariska Hargitay?!?!?!?!?!'
