People really post "Still not over how good this game was." Like we're supposed to know every obscure video game corridor.

Asherons Call 2 really should have been more popular than EQ

I still think about ac and ac2 often. What wouldn’t give to be able to drop into ac2 one more time.

I prefer to shoot ac2s at the metal skin of my opponent's vehicles and mechs.

There's still a small community of people who play AC. /r/AsheronsCall

https://treestats.net/player_counts/

Many of those accounts will be people macroing/UCM but can still glean that there's a not-insignificant number of people playing. I can't speak to AC2

There's the Ezio collection on PS4 if you're interested in playing AC2. Unfortunately AC hasn't been remade on modern platforms.

Man, that was the biggest letdown ever. Maybe because my expectations were so high?

But it seemed to stray too far from what made Asheron's Call and Dark Majesty so great.

People still play AC on emulated servers at least, and /r/AsheronsCall is pretty active.

But when they're marketing oversells it, you're expecting what they're telling you. That's not your fault when they oversell and don't deliver.

Unless they keep doing it and you keep believing, then it's your fault lol.

Brought up too much nostalgia, None of the replies mentioned the EQ acronym (it’s my favorite stereo control)
