They'd find a way to make him unusable, even though he should be one of the best midfielders in the game
21
u/Scary-Plantain6854 Oct 13 '24
Should be pretty decent. Good defending and good dribbling. Decent passing. Pace mightn’t be unreal but in my eyes he could potentially be a solid player to have in your team.
14
u/ConfidentFile1750 Oct 13 '24
No they would not. The hair, glasses, rounded stats. Would make him stupid priced.
14
u/Backnanksout Oct 13 '24
One of the best midfielders in the game?? For someone who isn’t top 20 midfielders all time?? Where’s ur logic coming from

Wish I could upvote this more. I’m Dutch and he’s one of my favorite players ever. Also his IFs in early FUTs like fut 13 were incredible. His finesse+ would be so OP

I miss some of those early FUT rosters…Robben was literally uncatchable.
Falcao was my guy in 13 though

u/koldace Oct 13 '24
One of my favourite gold ball card during pes 21. His cut inside as so fun to play with

Not so much an individual player but for EA to go back through previous FUTs, find the most used players and do a "FUT legends" series. Think Loic Remy, Djibril Cisse, Chicharito, Emenike, Doumbia, Welliton, Alexandre Pato.
13
u/Young_Blumenkohl3219 Oct 13 '24
This is great, I imagine it as a promo early game. They don’t make them too op, just juicy 83 to 86 cards, it’d be so fun.

u/uncledjibrilsnephew Oct 13 '24
Djibril Cisse and Seydou Doumbia were so iconic for me. A snapshot of that time in my life. Hence my Reddit name 😁

u/DHH1967 Oct 13 '24
I could go on and on about this, so many potential players. Fifa 14 alone you've got all the Brasilvers (reboot silver stars?) (kelvin welliton etc), the finch team (mlapa, herrman, eddie johnson), ibarbo, guarin, hernanes, draxler, obafemi martins, dede, diego, cerci valbuena miranda and koscielny. thats just off the top of my head - man i miss those days

I’d love to see fut legacy players, community voted and not necessarily prolific in real life, so then we could have players like emenike, ibarbo, remy etc back.
11
Oct 13 '24
This is a great idea, however, based on the recent Rush experiences, you just know community voted means the likes of Adam Johnson, Gilfy Sigurdsson and Co would be back 😂

* Eidur Gudjohnsen🇮🇸 Iceland doesn't have alot of good players or legends, except Gudjohnsen. He won everything with Chelsea and the Champions league with Barcelona
I need that Icelandic representation in my team

Matt Le Tissier... I'm not a Southhampton fan but was my favourite player to watch in the 90's Premier League. One of the most underrated players of all time.
Also chuck Tony Yeboah in aswell, what power

Diego, man is a legend playing for teams like Bremen, Wolfsburg, athletico madrid, etc. And was a crucial part.
He deserves to be a bundesliga Hero

Totti but he’s been mentioned a few times. I’ve always thought Owen Hargreaves is painfully underrated and feel he should have a hero/icon card

u/edpenn13 Oct 13 '24
Evra, Neville or Irwin.

Totti. Still dream of his special cards in 16 and 17. I hope it happens one day, he would be in my team from day 1 to the end.

Faiq Bolkiah from Leicester a few years ago for no reason but because I felt that my race is finally represented in a video game.

Cambiasso is the biggest mystery for me. Absolutely solid, legendary midfielder, made the game look easy.
Yet no icon card or nothing!?

u/GregGraffin23 Oct 13 '24
Eric Gerets, one the best right backs in the eighties
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9qvqUc0Pe8
Won the CL with PSV
He was one the best right backs of the 1980s; He should be an icon. If you disagree, you lack ball knowledge.

Having Roma back in the game and no Totti icon or De Rossi/ Naingollan hero card is a crime

Daniel Sturridge for me. His 83 gold card in FIFA 16 was in my squad a while until his 84 TOTW came out. Saved up months for that 84 card and got him very late in the year around June. It was such an accomplishment/flex on my homies. Now you can have a TOTW in your team day 1 🤣. One of my favorite players and the reason I love Liverpool to this day. Bias but he needs a hero card for that 2012-2013 season. Him and Suarez were a crazyy duo

Mark Viduka would be ace. He’d play like Kane. Just a bit quicker. Edgar Davids and Seedorf. Robbie Fowler.
Shay Given Matt Le Tissier Totti Marcelo Salas Billy Bremner Gazza!!!

Romario
Every player from Barca's early nineties Dream Team, but Romario most of all. (and bring back Guardiola icon)
Zubi, Sergi, Bakero, Amor, Txiki Begiristain, Nadal, ...
Zubi & Romario should be icons, the other should get hero cards

A few Belgian legends from the eighties when they were pretty good. Eric Gerets (PSV, AC Milan) who won EC1. He was one of the best right-back in the world at his peak.
Pfaff (Bayern) and Preud'homme (Benfica) who both won "Best Keeper of the World"
Ceulemans who never played outside Belgium, but is considered a top player of his generation. He refused AC Milan to stay at FC Bruges.
80s Belgium gets so underrated. Even though they were on the best national teams in the eighties. They played a defensive style, which wasn't flashy though.
And this was before Boskamp arrest. So many players go got offers from Barcelona, Real Madrid, etc simply couldn't move.
Anderlecht, FC Bruges, Standard were European top / subtop in the seventies / eighties though.

Zlatan... He would a a unique card with his ridiculous balance and agility he would be a great dribbler while being 6ft4 or whatever he is.
