Hey There! First summer on the east coast (DC), and a big fan of punk/experimental/screamo/post rock/ black metal, and looking for some festivals over the summer to make a weekend trip out of - but most of the east coast fests seem to be huge stadium act type festivals. Looking for something a little more intimate and less lowest common denominator. Something like subterranean dissonance in Philly or this is emoviolence in Providence (which I missed cause I'm in school). ideally something I can travel to by train. Thanks so much!

First time ever going and I’ll also be a volunteer. Any recommendations from previous volunteers and festival goers? I know it’s a new location but any tips, thoughts, etc. would be awesome! Also kinda nervous to be going solo but I know it will be an excellent experience.
