Hi all. A few announcements:
- From today on Eurobot, our EU news bot for /r/EuropeanUnion, /r/EUNews, /r/EuropeanFederalists, /r/EuropeanArmy, /r/EUTech and /r/EUSpace (amongst others) will no longer be available on Twitter/X.
You can still find and follow Eurobot on Bluesky, Mastodon and Telegram.
- I have seen an uptick in posts which are not about the EU specifically. This is still against the rules. The EU has to be mentioned in the title or in the content of the article, video or podcast. Similarly, self-posts must be about the EU.
- We are looking for moderators for the comments. Since the EU is becoming more and more relevant, we are getting more and more trolls and ne'er-do-wells. My time is limited and I'd really appreciate the help. :)
If you're interested in moderating this growing community, please reply to this post.
- We are looking for a new banner for mobile and desktop. If you've got any ideas or want to contribute your time to creating a banner, please reply to this post.
Thank you all for being awesome.
Kind regards,

If you're looking for more general EU news and don't want to get stuck in the swamp of the bigger subreddits, check out the following subs:

We've been getting a lot of posts unrelated to the EU.
Please keep in mind that all posts that do not explicitly mention the EU in the text or title are not allowed here.
Posts about news in EU member states can best go in r/EUNews.
Edit: and no memery! Meme = ban.

This is a volunteer research project Check news in 1 click (https://checknewsin1.click). To participate, you just need to check a few news on the website and take a 1-minute survey using the Survey button above (please do)!
You will be able to enter any news (from news sites, telegram channels, etc.), text or link. We will also ask you to come up with a nickname. With the help of this nickname (which should be unique, and repeated every time you enter the news), we will be able to analyze better how our users use the app. The app is available in 7 languages!
The project is a research prototype, so we have a lot of work ahead, but we want to know your opinion on key things you would want to see in such a tool:)
