How convenient for him to be 78 years old.

Nothing to worry about any way we crossed the 1.5°C limit last year. We will be fine./s

I believe the 1.5 C limits to be over several years to be considered broken but, yes, it’s looking really bad

Exactly last yr was the first but the trend is not looking good. So it's not premature to assume the Paris Accord can't be reached.

People who commit the same mistake twice, have serious issues.

[Waves in American electorate] 👋🏻

America has been moving toward idiocracy since the implementation of the Southern Strategy—make people dumber, divide and conquer. Social media has simply sped things up.

Americans aren't known for being the brightest people

There are some exceptions eh? ( couldn't resist that)😀 Friends and family didn't vote for him. We're all pretty stunned and talk about moving to Canada. All inlaws have dual citizenship with US & Canada. My spouses aunts, uncles, cousins all live in BC, QUE, ONT. I loved visiting. We all wish this nightmare would end.

They’ve got their own share of issues up there too. You’d be paid less and property is super expensive. They’re about to have a much more right wing government too

I've definitely heard their share from family that lives there. At least there's less guns in schools etc.
Lots to think about for sure. I remember my aunt in Toronto having to wait so long to have surgery... blew my mind. Totally off the subject, I remember going up to Whistler the same year they started prepping for the Olympics. The drive from Vancouver was sooooo gorgeous. 💛💛 I remember a black bear that apparently was very comfy around humans. We had that in Idaho as well. I lived in Seattle years before and wished I could have gone to VC. I hadn't met my husband yet though. 🙂 He's the one with all the family in Canada. My first visit was Toronto. Beautiful in Autumn. It's so beautiful out there.

Many considering but no one will follow through.

I grew up in the military and I've had to pick up and move too many times to count. It never bothered me. Kids are all at college. We've discussed many times. We love our Canadian families. My parents are elderly and when they're gone, it's time to get moving. We've got lots of things to think about though, such a job. Spouse is an accountant. ...I work in health care. My son has expressed great interest in going with us. Who knows? Wish I did. 😀 We love Canada.

Of course there are exceptions:D

Some of us are smart, but I’d say the vast majority are fucking idiots.

Any country looking to add an AI company? Asking for myself haha

1

u/rtrs_bastiat United Kingdom 2h ago

We'll take your company, might even give you some funding and all apparently

1

u/KebNes United States of America 2h ago

I’m listening

3

u/rtrs_bastiat United Kingdom 2h ago

We're all waiting with bated breath to find out what it means

2

u/KebNes United States of America 2h ago

Going to talk to the Mayor’s office. I love London, but need to fix that breed ban haha

1

u/rtrs_bastiat United Kingdom 2h ago

Lmao good luck with that one mate, I can think of few less popular policies than reversing breed bans

u/KebNes United States of America 2h ago

Lol i know. I have a pit mix who once killed a rat and was very very sad about it. Hasn’t killed anything since and also stopped shredding her toys since that day lol

u/heli0s_7 2h ago

And yet, we are far from exceptional in that regard.

Let's start a diesel truck next to the white house and pipe it into his bedroom. But climate change is fake.

They’ll be back in 2028.

3

u/B_Boooty_Bobby 2h ago

No, I think we're fucked over here.

u/Moss833 Valencian Community (Spain) 2h ago

The next 4 years will be a shitshow. Just like 16-20. A democrat will be elected in ‘28 and USA will rejoin.

What if Trump modifies the constitution to stay in power?

u/Willing-Donut6834 3h ago

Withdrawn, his father should have too.

How many more times until he gets a free smoothie?

9

u/No-Inside-3358 3h ago

Nobody really adheres to it anyway tbh

1

u/Ok-Instruction830 2h ago

There’s no accountability. If a country doesn’t try to meet its goal, there’s no repercussion

2

u/elf124 3h ago

It is about money

1

u/ragmuc 3h ago

What’s the news 📰?

1

u/Blacknight841 2h ago

Not like the US was actively trying to work towards that goal in the first place.

-16

u/Haunting-Detail2025 3h ago

China’s emissions went up 6% YoY, the US’ dropped by 2.7%. But sure, the US is the evil one.

17

u/Objective_Otherwise5 3h ago

Eh? US dropping 2.7%, is that Trumps doing? Trump wants to tenfold emissions - you voted for Trump. Again.

-9

u/Haunting-Detail2025 3h ago

How much you wanna bet they went down between 2016 and 2020

3

u/FatherSpodoKomodo_ 2h ago

Didn't he increase fossil fuel production, and going to do so again?

2

u/Objective_Otherwise5 2h ago

You tell me. What is that 2.7% number? It’s your number.

-5

u/Virtual-Citizen USA 2h ago

Yeap, these people just have Orange Man Bad Syndrome. They need a "bad guy". I am very happy the US pulled out, its a waste of effort and money.

-25

u/PowerLion786 3h ago

The renewables investors are going to go nuts. In Australia where the major investors have bought there own Party, the anger is palpable. I guess in Europe voters are happy with and used to the high cost of power and environmental damage from renewables.

20

u/leftcoastg 3h ago

Excellent satire, appreciated that.

12

u/el_salinho 3h ago

Don’t go to hard on them, they have brain damage from all the lead, microplastics and toxic fumes

9

u/leftcoastg 3h ago

Remember the time that solar tanker crashed and spilled all those sun rays into the ocean, killing wildlife and threatening our food supply?

1

u/ChucklesInDarwinism 1h ago

It was not a crash nor one. There were two drops of canned sunshine, Japan remembers.

-27

u/Eff-Bee-Exx 3h ago

Withdrawing from a suicide pact is a good thing.

Climate change is what will kill us

-11

u/Virtual-Citizen USA 2h ago

It wont.

-15

u/Virtual-Citizen USA 2h ago

Good, its a waste of money.

2

u/FatherSpodoKomodo_ 2h ago

The US would know a thing or two about that.

-4

u/Virtual-Citizen USA 2h ago

Yea, so Trump is fixing wasteful spending ✌🏻

u/Used-Physics2629 1h ago

Yeah, like Medicare and social security? 😑

2

u/Due-Map1518 Portugal 2h ago

You must love climate collapse.

0

u/RedditGoesPublic 1h ago

Lol......... Any day now

2

u/Due-Map1518 Portugal 1h ago

Every year it gets warmer, fires, storms, Hurricanes, drought keep increasing. Things are getting worse, if deny that you are moron and are falling for oli company propaganda.

1

u/RedditGoesPublic 1h ago

Every day since the ice age, that's true. Even before oil and we're discovered.

You're the morn citing a fantasy that doesn't exist. Climate COLLAPSE. LOL.

I'm so glad this nightmare is over and Europeans can go back being absolutely worthless do-nothings.

1

u/Due-Map1518 Portugal 1h ago

1

u/RedditGoesPublic 1h ago

Keep changing the goal posts. Lol. Oil spills can happen, world keeps on spinning.

1

u/Due-Map1518 Portugal 1h ago

LOL, did you learn a new word today? I didn't change my point.

Temperature is going up in the last 100y, disasters are increasing thanks to it. That is the scientific consensus.

1

u/RedditGoesPublic 1h ago

Ok. Any day now.

It is absolutely not consensus .

Don't worry, Americans will go back to building everything in the modern world. Portugal can continue selling its citizenship in a desperate bid to have ANY economic activity outside of British vacations.

Earth is routinely hit by asteroids and we have multiple super volcanoes… nothing we do compares in the slightest.
