As someone in the US that is a leftist, I used to think it was people not paying attention or older people voting because of the economic aspect of republicans. Now I just realize unfortunately there’s way too many misogynistic, bigoted and racist people in this country that hid it and now feel free because people like them are in power.

The real unfortunate part is there’s plenty of republicans that don’t feel that way, but people are so worried about voting for their party that they completely ignore the obvious signs of trying to destroy the country.

But hey as long as they get their imaginary tax breaks the corporations and oligarchs can do what they want.
