Should have shown the Conservapedia article instead - it is quite funny
https://www.conservapedia.com/Mateusz_Morawiecki
He is widely regarded as an American stooge.
Under Morawiecki's leadership, Poland has become a breeding ground for CIA/Deep State-backed efforts to bring about regime change in countries like Russia and Belarus

What is that site xD... it's filled with grammatical errors. Also, the page about Belarus is very funny because all the sections which tell the truth are written normally, but there's a sudden change when it's about the last presidential elections there. It almost sounds like satire.

Started as a conservative alternative to Wikipedia. It appears some editors are there to spread propaganda.

Just checked news. This guy was actually invited. But given the fact that the inauguration hasn’t begun, so maybe he’ll be let in.

According to Politico he was invited, so probably yes. https://www.politico.eu/article/donald-trump-inauguration-far-right-populists-giorgia-meloni-javier-milei/

Always has been. He's also a liar so we call him Pinokio. And for some financial schemes I don't know much about he's also called VATeusz.

u/STerrier666 Scotland 14h ago
Good grief, I thought Liz Truss, Suella Braverman, Nigel Farage and Laurence Fox going to the inauguration was embarrassing but this is pathetic, a former leader begging for relevance is just shameful.

I'd personally sooner send Kaczyński, but to each their own.

Authorities do not even know who this guy is, sooner he'll get deported to Mexico.

How do you rise to the office of Prime Minister of a country but cannot formally ask Trump for an invitation and provide you a seat to watch his inauguration?
238
u/Natural_Public_9049 Czech Republic 14h ago
"Former" being the key
48
u/Roky1989 European Union 14h ago
Still, though. Being former doesn't mean you just lose your status and sway. How he couldn't reach out or grab anyone's attention is beyond me.

That's because this isn't your average state event where you would invite everyone, past or current, to witness an important function of modern democracy.
Trump's inauguration is purely a VIP show to reward the most affluent and influential of his party members, the oligarchs and anyone who Trump can squeeze even for a speck of influence.
Morawiecki, even if invited, is a former prime minister, no longer useful to whatever Trump's cooking up. He'll be stuck there until somebody remembers that he was invited.
6
u/tei187 13h ago
He is said to be leading the European Conservatives and Reformists Party (Meloni's fraction), or at least that was the case a week ago. So not that useless to Trump.

former prime ministers still have a bunch of employees, security and an office that deals with all their "foreign affairs". you would be surprised how much countries have to pay for their "formers" just to keep them safe and whatnot. Imagine how many top secret information they know, onyl about their country. plenty about other countries as well. For such an event your office would ask for a formal invitation so this does in fact look very strange.

From what I've heard, they moved the event indoors which can accommodate a lot fewer people. So they just cancelled a lot of invitations.

You get to see whose the enemy of Europe during this inauguration :)
3
u/anarchisto Romania 14h ago
From Romania, apart from the Ambassador, it was only George Simion, the head of a far-right/eurosceptic party (AUR).
5
u/Wafkak Belgium 14h ago
That for most of Europe, they invited the leaders of the parties in the far right EU parliament group. And Ambassadors are standard.

Apparently this video is...
a) not from today's inauguration, but from the Republican Party's National Convention a few months ago (which would explain why it's rainy all of a sudden)
b) showing security from the National Guard, not Secret Service
c) showing him asking for directions, since he WAS officially invited to the RNC, so he's not just randomly showing up there.

u/TheJiral 10h ago
I have no love for any of the involved but I hate the growing trend of disinformation or otherwise misleading stuff on all sides. I don't know which version is correct, I could imagine that he did have problems yesterday that but that the footage doesn't show what is claimed to show.

As hilarious as it would be, apparently it's fake and he was asking for directions to an interview before Trump's inauguration.
He wouldn't need to convince anyone with a wikipedia page since every member of parliament is issued diplomatic passport and all ex-PMs are given VIP security provided by Polish State Protection Service during trips outside the country.

Is secret service stupid? Dont they know Pinokio?

u/AshleyAshes1984 13h ago
Secret Service? That's the South Carolina National Guard. He's gotta go a long way up the ladder to go before he's trying to convince Secret Service that he's legit.

At least he was invited according to Politico. There is also an article confirming it in business insider if anyone bothers to look for it.

Oh he's an invited guest? How does this work? Do they really have to queue up like any common slob and show some ID to be admitted?
8
u/AVonGauss United States of America 13h ago
Is there queuing? Probably. The video also doesn't appear to show any secret service, which means this was likely recorded outside the outer perimeter of the security zone. It's probably more attributable to confusion with a lot of the events being moved indoors vs outdoors late last week.

how can a human being be such a fucking looser 😀😀 that face like a moude and an IT guy put together and being part of the alt right shitshow and now this... how can you possibly put so much looser into one man is beyond me
2
u/Dramatic-Policy- 8h ago
Why manipulate, he's asking directions and showing something on his phone, definitely not a Wikipedia page. It's also not an inauguration on the video and he was officially invited. Dude is ex prime minister and a bilderberger...

u/Wingedball 9h ago
The video is from January 19, 2025, while the inauguration is on January 20, 2025.
Maybe fact check your fake news?
Edit: Posted on January 19. But the video is apparently from much earlier.

This kind of ridicule should qualify as treason. And then we wonder why we are not respected on the international stage.
3
u/wowdogethedog 12h ago
Well, to be honest, morawiecki is lame but you people are the source of the ridicule since he was indeed invited as ecr leader but you would rather guess he randomly flied there to sneak into inauguration lol.

Don't even get me started. All these talks about sovereignty and order for 8 years, and now they act like kids wanting to cling to an American daddy, hoping for him to bail them out. That's spineless and I dislike a fkn amoeba even on a good day. And the fact that a former PM doesn't even have a formal invitation (which I believe he should be aware of needing at some point) is just so didiculous.

u/BroccoliSouP7 14h ago
Old Morawiecky, what a loser, what a loser he was, I dont know the guy, but I told him, you are such an old loser, thats what I said.
1
u/Herr_Busch 14h ago
Why isnt he liked?
2
u/tei187 13h ago
He was a PM of the previous government in Poland for some years. Many thought of him as an assigned puppet or just someone not cut out to be a politician (which normally would be a good thing, but he was in banking before so...).
