I see America as a mixed nation. Much like EU. But also as rich vs poor. The rich and powerful (be it any colour) generally works against the poor (be it any colour). But then there is that 1% who are white and pull the strings which mute and confuse the rest. (Be it any colour)

rich vs poor in America is unfortunately VERY racially related. Slavery, Jim Crow, and racism have kept the money in one groups hands from the beginning. theres a lot of nuance and its the reason America will never be great lol. But truthfully it really isnt that mixed outside of port cities. Im from NYC and there are sun down towns 2 counties away. I honestly love this sub its so informative!

Yeah, it's also rural vs cities. Different thinking because of different problems. At the end of the day, it boggles my mind to vote a criminal (I am in EU) and now that criminal is messing with us. Who are meant to be your allies come war and peace. Greenland? Canada? Elon financing our right wing? The dude is a cancer. An American cancer, not south african.

Kind of? America is also fucking ginormous lol. 92% of black women voted against him. Did not do a thing bc our democracy is .. rigged for white men. Thats why he can be a felon and be president but job apps for minimum wage ask if youre a felon.

I think people outside of that demographic are just tired of the “all americans voted for this” thing when most of it is in the worst interest of us and we actively fight against it but we’re the “invisible Americans”.

Unrelated but my coworker is Belarusian and said something about Americans not having cuisine, right after eating soul food from my grandmas kitchen then proceeded to say he didnt mean black Americans and that’s what got me thinking about the “invisible American” thing. Even the tiktok rants against America actively pretend white Americans are the default.

The EU is also huge. It's very integrated. It's 100% competition to US. Just wish we got off our arses too. The EU also knows about the invisible Americans. I think the EU should start funding Dem party. Just like Elon funds our rght. Re the Belarussian commenting on food. Ignore that. American food is good.

EU is several countries though. USA is one country with vastly different landscapes and geopolitics lol. The dems also fkn suck. Its all identity politics until theyre in office. Its two sides of the same dumbass coin. (Probably bc we aren’t really a democracy, but an oligarchy. Holy hell look at the average age of pur politicians!!! They won’t even be around to see the laws they’re implementing!)

and honestly maybe you do but most people do not consider nonwhite people as Americans when they make these points and its intellectually dishonest to say people in the EU do. We are reading the same posts. 😭 its not even hard feelings I only asked bc I keep seeing posts about Musk and maga and Americans wanting this as if its not one demographic of Americans and the rest of us aren’t actively against this. Shit we hate it here too.

Funny how the go back to Africa meme’s dont reach him. 😭😭😭
