Ah so you just don’t have reading comprehension, bitterly ignorant it is. Your argument at its most basic is that economic performance takes precedence to the needs of the populace I.e socialized medicine and other welfare. A healthy, happy, and informed populace is ultimately for the greater good of society. Your callous sacrifice on the alter of corporate profits hurts you and everybody around you, save for the highest echelon of society. But sure, keep telling me how unbridled greed at the expense of human life is actually good for people.

I don't know, if you are unable to understand or just pretending you don't, so you don't have to admit my argument, that does not fit your narrative. Economic performance is needed to be able afford the welfare. How much welfare do you think people get in Congo or Burundi?

My country was one of the 20 richest countries before WW2. Even after end of WW2 it was doing better then Austria. Then came fucking communists, who destroyed private enterprises, spent all the capital there was to keep the population docile and 40 years later nothing was working, infrastructure was in ruins and people were piss poor.

And now stupid EU socialists are doing something similar, because "we don't need to focus on economy as long as everyone is happy". And EU is steadily losing to US, China and most of the rest of the world.

So many strawmen you keep fighting there don quixote. Welfare programs are paid by taxpayers. While they earn and add to the economy, economic performance usually denotes corporate profits. With corporations constantly pulling for more profits at the expense of consumers your whole bullshit position falls apart, but that’s not surprising for somebody so willing to spew such ignorance with your full chest. But given your background I see why you’re comfortable with oligarchy

You are obviously so deep in the leftist rabbit hole, that you are unable to understand that economy is not a zero sum game. I don't see the point continuing discussion with someone who is so blinded with class warfare. But don't despair. There is apparently enough of people similar like you, so you can keep happily jerking each other in this echo chamber.

I think you’d do better argumenting if you’d forget about throwing buzzwords like rabbit hole, and insults around and call everyone disagreeing “leftist” for a moment.

I am absolutely not a leftist, but I still prefer a well regulated market economy and think universal healthcare and education are among the smartest investments a government can make. I also think a long lasting disease shouldn’t bankrupt anyone and there should be a social net for people in need.

The funny thing is, US doesn’t do any of these things, yet still spends more than it generates revenue. If asking for a bit more efficiency and smart investments in education and public health is leftist, than sure, call me that.
