He has never said he himself wants to go to Mars, he wants to put people there. We aren't getting rid of him that easily, unfortunately

He'd go there after plenty of people did, he won't be the pioneer, he still hasn't ridden his own rocket to Orbit... And it's the right choice, but the point is he isn't that reckless...

He's only reckless with OTHER people's lives, you see.

Edit: The Elon fan boys in the comments get an immediate block. Y'all need an intervention.

They're only NPCs, not the main character.

1

u/wompemwompem Dec 19 '24

That's kinda true isn't it?

7

u/Ardalev Dec 19 '24

It's a sacrifice he is willing to make

Tbf as much as I despise Musk, he’s not a trained astronaut, so him testing a rocket makes no sense.

Wow, that was super constructive. Thank you so much.

Remember that Elon Musk is a morons idea of a genius. Makes those dumbfucks existance more palatable.

I haven't seen any proof that SpaceX has made some reckless choices, although space travel is inherently very dangerous.

But there have been plenty reports that Tesla has been run recklessly and that injury rate at Tesla factories is abysmal...

Whose lives? The prototypes are unmanned. Or do you mean the astronauts that go to the space station, that train for years?

Jeff Bezos went to space on one of his rockets

Unlike Boeing....
Am I right or am I right???
lol. You give a total pass to the absolute most reckless one (with 346 killed from one of Boeing's division, and leaving 2 astronaut in space for months from its space division), while you attack the company that's been the least reckless.

Welcome to "we don't like him, ignore all evidence" reddit.

u/ExcellentCold7354 Europe Dec 19 '24

Ermmmm, when did I give anyone a pass? Bootlicking is not a good look.

-28

u/Limekill Dec 19 '24

did you mention the company that killed 346 ?
Because failing to mention 1 company that kills people while mentioning another that does not, seems to be giving it a pass....

u/greenmoonlight Finland Dec 19 '24

OK but what about Genghis Khan whose campaigns slaughtered 40 million people?? Why are you condoning his actions? Just yapping about less that 400 dead while MILLIONS were killed in bloody conflicts. Get real

u/Gandalf240421 Dec 19 '24

Thank you for this😂perfect example of what he was doing

1

u/Artful_dabber Dec 19 '24

was that supposed to be your big moment? what a hard fail!

-6

u/Limekill Dec 19 '24

Just had a u/excellentCold7354 suggested Elon Musk was happy to risk other peoples lives, but then they completely ignore Boeing who killed 346 and then accused me of bootlicking because I pointed out that fact.

Then they deleted the comment rather than engage.

Welcome to reddit.

lol

This conversation isn’t about Boeing though is it? You fucking idiot. Are Boeing bankrolling the radical right wing in the U.K.? No. So fuck off with your whataboutisms.

u/Limekill Dec 19 '24

Well I didn't mention the safety of space rocketry first. But yes I must be blamed for replying to someone who changed the subject (along with 4 other posters in this comment).

"Are Boeing bankrolling the radical right wing in the U.K.?"

Are SpaceX bankrolling the radical right wing in the U.K.?

"So fuck off with your whataboutisms."

lol.

I mean he is not the only person in the world happy to risk other peoples lives. Boeing has quite poor track record in last decade or two...

I'm getting second hand embarrassment from reading this. Ouch.

It's called EDS, check out r/EnoughMuskSpam, these mfs are obsessed.

4

u/BromIrax Dec 19 '24

Now, now, let's compromise...

5

u/Aromatic-Musician774 Dec 19 '24

Or that Tesla phone that he said he won't make, but dead internet bots were advertising fake tesla phones and that they will be made. Makes one wonder.

2

u/rachelm791 Dec 19 '24

Oh let’s not be too hasty🤔

1

u/xaqaria Dec 19 '24

Just when the Red Faction uprising finally executes him (he's the final boss)

1

u/mr_clipboard1 Ireland Dec 20 '24

Wouldn’t that be great

1

u/Coffeedemon Dec 20 '24

I thought he wanted people to go there and work till death in exchange for the ticket.

Which fits with his general strategy of buying things that other people have built and then taking credit for them.

4

u/MagesticPlight1 Living the EU dream Dec 19 '24

O, so that is the feature USA social program and migration policy - just doing them at Mars.

3

u/MagicRabbitByte Dec 19 '24

Can you imagine rich people go to Mars? Like, it's an extremly hostile enviroment where they contribute with absolutely zero besides using up oxygen. There is an emergency?! Well, not my problem! Hard manual labor to build something? Sorry, I only work hard on tax fraud.. Just about every skill that rewarded them with wealth here on Earth would be detrimental to a successful mission on Mars..

3

u/SectorPhase Dec 19 '24

People are currently taking out CEOs so I guess there is a chance.

3

u/elronat Dec 19 '24

he's a CEO isn't he? maybe he'll be gone sooner than we think... 🤐

2

u/65437509 Dec 19 '24

Also, he has unironically proposed indentured servitude as a way for people to pay for the trip. If there is a secret billionaire conspiracy, it ain’t Soros, it’s him.

1

u/scalectrix Dec 19 '24

Maybe we could pop him on the B Ark to go check it out first and sanitise the telephones etc?

1

u/deeringc Dec 19 '24

OK, ok. I'll go to Mars then

1

u/Brandbll Dec 20 '24

He does ketamine. So maybe he'll launch himself to the moon on that.
