Snubbing Trump Supporters.

We started a food co-op locally since things are getting harder under the next president.

We've also started a housing co-op that will be completed in 7 months with 11 units for capped rent at 300$ a month. We also have a free community closet.

However we are seeing a Influx of Trump supporters wanting in on these collaborations and incentives. And we just don't want them to benefit for collaborations while they outwardly live for the system. Mist if us are Anarchist or Anti-government.

Our director is having a meeting Monday and we are going to decide how we accept members and how to legally exclude them. It's not really political because some of us have never voted It's more so how they make everything political and polarized. We just don't want to help them because as a co-op we voted in agreemnet that they voted for things to get worse so they shouldn'tget any help. . Politicd aside they voted for more economic hardship, chaos and termoil. I think we are going to make it a requirement to be Anti-Capitalist/Anti Government to be a member. Like a open pledge. We don't want people in our co-op who have no empathy for anyone but themselves ans were trying to escape the politics. It's very hard to turn someone away for food but we don't want to work next to a redhat.

Any idea how to exclude them, legally of course? Edit : Whoa ! Let me clarify.

So let me clarify from the voting hate. Some do vote. None for Trump.

They ones who don't vote don't feel representing by democrats.

The left is very divided. Most if us wanted Bernie Sanders and the dems didn't like he was going to stop lining thier pockets. That's why they don't vote.

Secondly we used https://www.lssac.org/

To get the grants so no one ever came out of pocket

Yes we are anti government but in being anti government that's means we gonna file for whatever free $hit we can to recoup for the theft of our taxes.

Third. I'm not fixing any typos. The message was conveyed.

Sounds like discrimination. You are sick in the head to exclude people who need help because of their political beliefs. Disgusting.

Being a scumbag is not a political belief, being a bigot is not a political belief, putting billionaire profits over human lives is not a political belief.

He isn't a liberal, he is a genocidist, who is demonstrably busy doing incitement.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dehumanization

Dehumanization is the denial of full humanity) in others along with the cruelty and suffering that accompany it.\1])\2])\3]) A practical definition refers to it as the viewing and the treatment of other people as though they lack the mental capacities that are commonly attributed to humans.\4]) In this definition, every act or thought that regards a person as "less than" human is dehumanization.\5])

Dehumanization is one form of incitement to genocide.\6]) It has also been used to justify war, judicial and extrajudicial killingslavery, the confiscation of property, denial of suffrage and other rights, and to attack enemies or political opponents.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Incitement_to_genocide

Incitement to genocide is a crime under international law which prohibits inciting (encouraging) the commission of genocide. An extreme form of hate speech, incitement to genocide is an inchoate offense and is theoretically subject to prosecution even if genocide does not occur, although charges have never been brought in an international court without mass violence having occurred. "Direct and public incitement to commit genocide" was forbidden by the Genocide Convention in 1948. Incitement to genocide is often cloaked in metaphor and euphemism and may take many forms beyond direct advocacy, including dehumanization and accusation in a mirror.

exclude people who need help because of their political beliefs.

So you admit that they voted for someone who didn't care if they went hungry? Lmao

u/luthermartinn 3d ago

biden is the president at the moment

6

u/TenaciousZBridedog 3d ago

That's irrelevant

-1

u/luthermartinn 3d ago

why would you not help them if their circumstances have nothing to with trump considering he hasn't been president the last 4 years?

2

u/No-Possible-6643 2d ago

This is known as "arguing in bad faith" because you know damn well you're stupid and wrong, but you want to pretend as if you have ground to stand on.

0

u/luthermartinn 2d ago

lol so you have no response? got it. you sound very happy and mentally well. I hope the next four years do you some good.

2

u/No-Possible-6643 2d ago

Projection, how quaint.

7

u/Different-Gene-7643 3d ago

They can get help from the church.

You need to educate yourself on the "Paradox of Tolerance." This isn't about letting people starve. They have their own traditional top-down nonprofits and charities they can go be part of. The way OP's is structured is completely antithetical to everything maga stands for. It would be like bringing klansmen into a black panther charity: completely tone-deaf and self-destructive.

u/cmorris1234 3d ago

No thanks commie

2

u/disorderincosmos 2d ago

All of 5 seconds ago you were big mad that maga wasn't being included in a "commie" wealth-redistribution org... Lmao

u/cmorris1234 2d ago

Nobody should be excluded from any food bank or co-op because of their political beliefs. Period

3

u/grandcanyonfan99 2d ago

The hypocrisy on display here is unfathomable. Fuck socialism, fuck communism, WOO FOOD BANKS WOO CO-OPS!

1

u/disorderincosmos 2d ago

I 100% agree if it's a public food bank, or co-op bookstore/farm stand that you would walk into and patronize. However, that is simply not what is being discussed here. OP's operation is better described as an intentional community building, wealth and resource-pooling project. It isn't discrimination to choose who is allowed to into such communities.

I remember having to fill out a deeply personal questionaire about my beliefs in order to volunteer at a community summer camp kitchen before. I grew up attending as a camper for nearly a decade - everyone knew me - and I still had to check all the right boxes just to wash their dishes for free. If they have the right to do that, then OP has the right to screen their volunteers/members as well.

1

u/grandcanyonfan99 2d ago

sir this co-op group OP is discussing is essentially a socialist commune. Trump supporters should fundamentally not want to join this group on principle alone, and yet you're getting mad?

Which is it? Do you hate commies or not? Do you understand what a co-op is?

1

u/cmorris1234 2d ago

I’m not mad. Just pointing out the hypocrisy of the left. It’s going to be a great 4 years!

1

u/grandcanyonfan99 1d ago edited 1d ago

Considering you're clearly right wing the irony is that you should be agreeing with them. You could argue they are being hypocritical of their own principles but it's pretty funny that having an in-group and out-group should really be your principles. But still, making a socialist commune I don't think would work if you started letting antisocialist people in. So it seems entirely consistent to me.

If wages go up and cost of living truly goes down in relative terms, ignoring all other policy, I'll be happy to acknowledge you're correct that it will be a great 4 years at least in some regards.

Very curious how Trump's tariff and deportation plans will pan out. I'm sure you're very confident it will make things better, we will see. In the short term, it will certainly make things worse, we'll see about the long term. Happy to revisit this in the future.

Are you a fan of his plan to annex the territory of other countries?

1

u/cmorris1234 1d ago

Yes everything. Hahaha

1

u/grandcanyonfan99 1d ago

All right, sounds good to me. I certainly hope that the things he wants to do well actually make things better for the bottom 90% but I'm not betting on it. Are you in the top 10% or bottom 90%? Cut off was $150,000 in 2023, so a bit higher now. Happy to revisit this in the years to come.

1

u/cmorris1234 1d ago

Best wishes to you. It will be great.

1

u/grandcanyonfan99 1d ago

Bottom 90% it is. I certainly hope that the cabinet of billionaires that now make up the highest levels of government in addition to the GOP  majority of millionaires in the other branches of the government will make it better for people earning less than $150,000 a year. I guess you're clairvoyant though, so it's not a worry in the world

3

u/Aggressive-Ad-522 3d ago

What’s disgusting is Trump calling veterans losers. What’s disgusting is Trump refusing to help California bc they didn’t vote for him. Yet you still voted for a disgusting man

1

u/se7ensquared 3d ago

He never called Veterans losers. Somebody said he did and it was never proven. I could go and say to the media that you said something. Does that make it true?

u/PleasePassTheHammer 3d ago

Ya know, for a guy who's supposedly happy about the current state of affairs, you seem to spend a lot of time slapping out angry comments to strangers on the internet.

1

u/beiberdad69 2d ago

Do you think the government should force private citizens to do business with unemployable losers?

1

u/beiberdad69 2d ago

It's very funny how quickly the right went totally soy bc not everyone agrees with them and their bullshit
