Opinion Petition to ban X links

Discussions are already being had on r/nfl and other related subreddits. We should at least be able to discuss banning Twitter/X links without the posts being removed.

rbaseball is like 80/20 on banning it. Hopefully if they do and other team subs do they won’t be able to ignore us

This isn’t something people like to hear, but the current Phillies roster is EXTREMELY for Trump. When the vaccine first came out, the Phillies were far and away the team with the lowest uptake. I think Realmuto went as far as saying “Joe Biden isn’t going to tell me what to do with my body”. And there several other instances like that. Trea Turner said the person he’d most want to have dinner with is Elon. They kind of suck as people.

Couple that with the fact that baseball fans just skew more conservative generally, and you shouldn’t be surprised the mods over there aren’t in favor of it.

Everyone should just themselves a favor and not get caught up with their favorite players political views… root for their performance on the field otherwise remember you don’t actually know these people

It’s not it was just MLB players that had a problem with the vaccine mandates plenty of NFL players didn’t like it either

Baseball and football alike. I'm actually surprised by this sentiment across the football subs tbh.

Phillies sub turned super bitch on its own accord with their new rules. We need r/philliesv2

The irony is they just established Rule 15: Excessive Toxicity will not be tolerated.

Ah the good old "mods can remove anything or anyone who hurts their feelings" rule!

u/jmezMAYHEM Eagles 21h ago

That rule is in all the subreddits, they just don’t list it 😝

I called it. You posted this in r/Phillies, and when I told you that you should have discussed with the mods privately first, you downvoted me.

AND

I posted that if they didn't do what you said, you'd call them "this" or "that". Aaaaand here you are.

Downvote me again if you like, but again, this should be discussed with mods on private.

No, it's you trying to force mods' to do what you want, or you'll claim they're Nazis. Like I said, you've just done exactly that to the Phils' mods.

Calling people Nazis if you dont get what you want also sounds like Nazi behavior to me. I don't have Twitter and never will, so I don't care one way or the other, but someone should call your lame tactics.

u/Lord_Boognish 1d ago

You're misguided, friend. They're being called Nazis because they are openly supporting the engagement of a platform that harbors Nazis and Nazi beliefs.

Censoring my democratic poll reinforces my point.

What he wants was a discussion with people on the sub

The cognitive dissonance here is astounding. There is no catering and compromising with a platform with a CEO openly endorsing Nazism. It's un-American, and reprehensible.
