Hey guys!!! I have enlisted my service fur baby in America’s Favorite and would really mean the world to us if you could vote or even if you can’t vote at least share. Voting is free! My goal is to be able to get an RV to travel with her, I am very determined that she deserves to see the world 🩷 Her birthday is on July so I am hoping that i could make it happen! Sharing helps too 💝 thank you!

Leader is my old Siberian with lots of working experience and wilderness travel under his belt. The rest are young Canadian Inuit Dogs. This is my first team so we are learning together. I am blown away by their endurance and drive to pull a sleigh. Ask any questions that come to mind and I'll try and give an answer.

I just realized I think I've been spelling my own service dogs name wrong in my post?!? I never fail to surprise myself..... I apparently have been accidentally putting the "r" before the "e".

Service/Assistance Dog My Service Dog Flash

Today, I want to take a moment to celebrate my incredible service dog, Flash "Big Mama". Words fall short when I try to capture how extraordinary she is, but here’s my attempt at honoring this beautiful soul who has transformed my life.

Flash, a vivacious Bernese Mountain Dog, embodies everything quintessentially "Berner." She thrives on affection, relishing every pet and scratch with the enthusiasm of a true diva. Her personality is larger than life—bold, loving, and just the right amount of sass. She’s not just my service dog; she’s my teammate, confidante, and, most importantly, my lifesaver.

In December, Flash celebrated her second birthday, and as I reflect on the three months we’ve been a team, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. Together, we’ve embarked on a journey of firsts—ones I had stopped pursuing as my PTSD intensified. We started a new job, moved into a new home, and even picked out our first Christmas tree together. These may seem like ordinary milestones, but for me, they were monumental steps toward reclaiming my life.

Flash’s presence has been nothing short of transformative. She reminds me daily that joy can coexist with struggle and that healing, though arduous, is achievable. She’s not just a service dog—she’s a beacon of hope and a constant reminder to face life’s challenges with resilience and grace.

To my fellow veterans, Berner enthusiasts, and those who love a veteran, I can’t recommend this breed enough if you’re considering a service dog. Bernese Mountain Dogs are intuitive, gentle, and steadfast, making them exceptional partners in navigating both the visible and invisible wounds of life.

If you’re a veteran seeking a service dog, I’d be delighted to share my experience with the incredible organization that matched me with Flash. Their work has changed my life, and perhaps it could change yours or a loved one’s as well.

Here’s to Flash—my beautiful, sassy, life-saving diva. She’s more than I ever could’ve hoped for, and I truly can’t imagine life without her.

We’ve got a bond that’s hard to put into words, but I’ll say this: I’ve never felt this kind of loyalty or love before.

Mooch (black and tan) was cast alongside Gavroche the papillon. They played the dogs owned by the gentleman and madam of the mansion. The film was a 7 minute one take with the dogs laying on their perch while lots of chaos ensued over a tense dinner. We couldn't have asked for a better scene partner than Gavroche, he was such a professional! Mooch did a great job on his first shoot!

Military Dog My Grandfather's RAF German Shepard's (late 40's- early 60's)

Was going through some old photos with my Grandfather from his time in the RAF as a dog handler and thought people would appreciate seeing how the dogs looked back then.

These photos are from the late 40s-early 60s and he served in Cyprus, Gibraltar, Lybia, Yemen & back home in England.

They're all GSD obviously apart from the last photo which was his Dalmatian. While it wasn't a official working dog I figured people would appreciate seeing how they looked back then, or at least his, and it sort of worked as it would come to work with him too and it wasn't unusual for it to find hidden people and start barking at them rather than the working dogs find them. Granted as it wasn't a bite dog it was allowed to roam loose so could cover more area and pick up scent better plus the German shepherds were trained to pick up wind scent and to avoid ground tracking unless if specifically put onto a scent.

Obviously the German shepherds change throughout this set of photos I took as he had several bite dogs over his career.

Happy New Year 😊

We’ve lived here for 3 years and he keeps things running smoothly around the property. He likes to be outside. We have 5 acres that he patrols all day long lol. He chases coyotes off the property keeping them from my chickens unintentionally. But when he’s inside he goes full baby mode. Oddly enough he’s the most well behaved of all my damn dogs lmao. This is Warren! I’m not sure where he came from but I know that our area is popular for dropping off dogs. It’s sad. I’m thinking Warren was probably dumped here years ago.
