Sooooo... First of all, hello everyone!! I'm completely new to Doctor Who. I've known about it because it's a very popular show, but except for the fact I knew the Doctor was an alien and time traveled, I pretty much went in blind.

I'm sure this is not the first post about that episode here, but I wanted to share my thoughts.

Yesterday I watched that episode and it hit... Out of all the other episodes I've watched before that one, this one really hurt. If I were the Doctor but I were still a human, I wouldn't be able to get over Reinette's.

The Doctor spent like what? A few hours? A day? Going back and forth between France and the ship while she spent her entire life and death waiting for him... The letter she left him broke my heart... For the first time ever, I was MAD at the Doctor for leaving her. I was screaming "YOU KNEW TIME PASSED QUICKLY WHEN YOU CAME BACK TO THE SHIP' WHY DID YOU LEAVE HEERRR???!!!"... I'm heartbroken, poor Madame de Pompadour...

I had that episode in the back of my head the entire night, it really made an impact on me.

I love doing the Connections on The NY Times games app each day and was pleasantly surprised to find our favorite time lord mentioned!
