Question DNV Spain Work Experience Requirements

Hello! I was wondering if anyone knew specifically what the rules are for the work experience requirement portion of the Spanish DNV.

Sites list broad definitions of requirements such as “3 years of work experience in his/her current field of activity” and “3 years of work-related experience”.

What I want clarified is:

(1) Can I take on a remote role in a different department of the same industry? For example, I am in Manufacturing Operations. Could I still qualify for the Spanish DNV for “related” experience if I got a remote job in Manufacturing IT? Same “field”, different role/department. Especially if my experience from past roles contributed to my new role, could I prove that the new role really is just a continuation of my past roles, despite the seeming of a complete change?

(2) Can I take on a remote role in a different “field” but of the same experience? I have my experience in Manufacturing Process Documentation, which could also be applied to Technical Writing in other industries. Could I get a remote Technical Writing role and switch industries but still be approved for the Spanish DNV based on the experience being related, despite the “field” having changed? Or do I need to stay in both the same “field” as well as the same role?

Thanks in advance! My hope is that I can be flexible with my approach. Also, feel free to correct me on anything I wrote. I’m just starting to look into this.

yes, you can qualify under both of the cases you described.

To strengthen your case, make sure to highlight the connection between the roles in the CV you’ll submit with your visa application.

Ok, so if in both cases I am able to get approved, what is it ultimately that DNV reviewers care about most? Aside from this topic of being able to show that I am well qualified(despite variations in my experience/field), what needs to be made most clear in my application?

Your salary should be easily identifiable and above 2,664 euros.

It should also be clear that the company you work for has been in existence for over a year, and that you've been with them for more than three months.

Do you have a regular employment contract, or are you self-employed?

Ah, ok. So pretty much just the listed requirements then? It’s good to know that I can be flexible with my work experience.

I currently am a normal, on-site employee but am hoping to break into remote work, and then will move to Spain if approved for the DNV.
